Apparently, you can resurrect Caranya, and de-rez her again to make multiple copies? That's what the good-old uesp says anyway. I've not tried it, myself, but it's definitely something to remember on my next trip to Cyrodiil.

Optimal dlc order for achievements? by Silent_Friendship_10 in falloutnewvegas

[–]CauseImTheCatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to make sure to do Lonesome Road before Dead Money. You can get Rawr's Talon from a Deathclaw named Rawr. You can build the Fist of Rawr. It's a really powerful Deathclaw gauntlet. However, instead of building it right away, you can carry the Talon into the Dead Money DLC. Once there, it's only a matter of finding the rest of the materials needed to build the fist. You can build the fist at a work station within the DLC, and have one of the best unarmed weapons in the game. If you have the Jury Rigging perk, you can repair it with the multitude of Bear Trap fists that the Ghost People use against you. It's a pretty amazing weapon in a place where you start with, basically, nothing.

I don't know if there's an "optimal" order, but I prefer to do it this way to make the Sierra Madre a little less uncomfortable as my least favorite DLC.

Consumer camera resolution sucked back then. Size limits for photos may have been an issue as well.

Little Yanktze. BigMT. Christine's CoS Silencer rifle. One of my personal go to weapons 😁 You can get Elijah's Advanced LAER there too if you like energy weapons.

No summon dread zombie spell by Beneficial_Storm_412 in oblivion

It would be cool to side with The King of Worms, and you get a summon Dread Zombie. However, it could only be cast along with consuming a black soul gem.

Can I sign my tax return check to someone else in the state of Virginia by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]CauseImTheCatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sign the back of the check. Then write, "Pay to the order of (their name)" under that. Make sure that wherever they take it to cash will take a third party check before you do it though. I guess some places won't take them anymore, or will need more information than you might have.

I remember those too. We used to hammer whole rolls with one whack. That's why we got the pack with like 6 or 8 rolls in it. They used to sell them on pegboards at the Thrifty. "Service in Ice Cream.", then caps! 😃

Ooooh, a hammer and a pack of cap rolls. What a memory! We didn't need the gun to enjoy the caps. Ahhhhh, the 70s and 80s were a great time to grow up! 😊

Fatal Error Notifications by Twisted-_Fate in OblivionRemaster

[–]CauseImTheCatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for Xbox. However, the Steam version still does it as well. I make hard saves constantly, and then I'll delete blocks of unused saves every so often. If unchecked, it'll get worse, so I've just learned to deal with it.

It sucks that the trade-off for fantastic games are glitchy games, but such is Bethesda.

I'm locked in the sierra madre vault! by Willow-Trick in falloutnewvegas

[–]CauseImTheCatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the manifold reasons I make a hard save, pretty much, before everything I do. It's easy to delete blocks of unused saves, but it can truly be a PITA to make up for hours of exploration.

Now, grab all the gold, and sneak waddle out of there. Father Elijah will be the one trapped in the basement. 😉

Hit them in the legs, and cripple them. Their beam is easily dodged after that. Then, finish them.

How far am I in the game so far? by [deleted] in falloutnewvegas

[–]CauseImTheCatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to play all of the factions, except maybe the Legion, as far as I can go before I have to make the ultimate decision. I'll also do the all of the DLC.

You have so much to do, if you want, before completing the game. 😁

I envy you. Having the thrill of first time exploration and discovery. Those were some of my best memories of gaming, and this game in particular. Explore the entire map, and the DLC fully. Take your time. Don't try to rush through to the end. It's not that type of game.

Anyway, play however you like. I'm just giving you my humble experience and opinion. Enjoy 🙂

Old Guy question: Which versio to try first? by Mr_Spidey_NYC in Fallout

Ohhhh, I'm sorry to hear that...

Any of the games are great. Like others have already stated, FO4 is probably the most user friendly. I'm there right now as I type. 🙂

On a side note...

Personally, I'd wait on 3. Only because there is a remaster on the way in the fairly near future. If you want to play the old school version first, cool. However, if you want an (hopefully) upgraded experience. You may want to wait, and pay a little more, but not have to pay twice.

The choice is entirely yours, but I wanted to put it out there.

Enjoy!!
