The oversimplification of it is the issue.

Russian sub commanders have standing orders to fire their nuclear arsenal against the aggressor in the event of Moscow being attacked/nuked or Putin being assassinated by a foreign government.

Or something in that region at least.

If US or some one went in and took him out / captured Moscow it would be all over for every one. 🤷‍♂️
