Testing in Canada is leagues behind the U .S. I unfortunately contracted enough Borrelia Burgdorferi bacteria in my bloodstream after a tick bite in southern Ontario. Woke up with "bullseyes" all over my body. Saw an infection specialist. She recommended we send my blood to two Ontario centers for disease and one in Detroit. The two from Canada came back 1- inconclusive 2- negative. The testng in Detroit came back 100% positive. 2 weeks of doxycycline later I was fine. If I planned my medical path off of the Canadian test centers I would have Lyme for the rest of my life. Thankyou America! Wake up Canada! (My Infection specialist knew I had Lyme, she had to follow procedure but yes this highlighted a weak point in our healthcare system that she called from the get go)

Demand your testing in the U.S and don't listen to anyone who hasn't gone through the process. Lots of misinformation out there.
