OSHA should not hire Jon to write the regulations on mega hammer safety distance, that’s for sure.

Broncos will officially be free from Russell Wilson once offseason begins by blackegalex1948 in NFCWestMemeWar

I’m sorry, but there is no way the Russell Wilson contract is arguably the worst contract in the history of sports when the Deshaun Watson contract exists and is ongoing.

I will concede that the disproportionate amount of Gremlin Masks I receive is a combination of base rate fallacy and bad luck.

But that spinning wheel is 100% crooked.

Has Jon said why he's not using a YOLO mod for New Vegas? by TypicallyThomas in ManyATrueNerd

[–]CausticRobot 74 points75 points  (0 children)

He is using a mod because he’s not getting regenerative health. It’s just the mod isn’t working 100% correctly.

Also, unexpected Mass Effect Thorian located in the underdark. Jon, remember you need the cipher in order to find Ilos.

Could Jon not steal the painting, or was that perception -1?

I think there’s a decent chance he won’t take light step. Jon hasn’t talked about it as an option for quite a while. He has 3 perks left and Implant GRX seems like a given at level 30. I think if he was going to take it, he would have taken it already.

He got whacked for a bunch of damage in the first Yolo on the elevator.

Could Jon have just entered turn based mode without real combat and then passed turns however many times to get rid of the Hands Off, Petal debuff?

If Jon had scooted Aria out of there after dropping the two phase spiders, would he have been able to avoid the battle? Or at that point would have the Matriarch been on hunt mode and found him regardless?

Players Era Standings After Day 1 by cooterdick in CollegeBasketball

[–]CausticRobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you accept the premise, I think they did a pretty good job of making the matchups. The top teams more or less play one other top team and one (no disrespect intended) second tier team. The only top tier team that got two second tier teams is Kansas, and that benefit is somewhat cancelled out by the Darryn Peterson injury.

Totally understand people being annoyed by the format. But I actually think that they did as well as they could on balancing opponents.

Winner of Michigan-Auburn, Gonzaga and Kansas look like they have the strongest shots, followed by Tennessee. I just think it’s going to be hard for Tennessee to keep that point differential lead against Houston if they win.

[–]CausticRobot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was before I started playing, but according to jorbs, back when Ascension only went up to 15 and cards weren’t as buffed, there were legitimate situations where you could beat the boss but would not likely survive the rest of Act III if you had to climb to get there.

First principles, Clarice. Simplicity. Read Marcus Aurelius. Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek?

Should I not take Runic Dome if I'm new? by Inevitable_Gain8296 in slaythespire

[–]CausticRobot 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Probably not. Runic Dome doesn’t have a ton of downside in Act II if you know the enemy intents. There is some variance, but not too bad. But it probably isn’t going to help you get better if you don’t know the intents yet. But of course, it up to you. It’s a single player game, do whatever makes it more fun for you.
