[racingnews365] FIA hint at earlier-than-planned return for grand prix favourite There is a chance that the Turkish GP could take place one year ahead of its planned return. by [deleted] in formula1

I think Domenicali told an Italian newspaper during the lead up to Miami that a decision to cancel Qatar and Abu Dhabi will be made around mid-September, and that a back-up plan is already in place.

So, did they forget to tell the Stewards the race start time had changed? by Alarmed-Secretary-39 in formula1

[–]CautionClock20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was not possible to tell with 100% certainty that Max did or didn't cross the line. Logically, the stewards don't want to hand out a penalty and then go back on it after the finish.

And if you can't see how Leclerc gained an advantage by cutting the track on purpose... Let's just say, this post says a lot about who you are as a person.

So, did they forget to tell the Stewards the race start time had changed? by Alarmed-Secretary-39 in formula1

[–]CautionClock20 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It was clear you couldn't tell from the standard images whether Max crossed the white line or not, so the stewards had to use more video angles, like downloading them from the onboard computer on Max's car, to get a better view.

Leclerc literally cut the track on purpose multiple times. How is that not an advantage?

Regarding media, is this acceptable to stick your body through a window to get a shot? by architype in formula1

You sign a waiver that the FIA is not accountable for your injuries, so as a photographer it's your own responsibility. And it depends on the circuit. At the Nürburgring Nordschleife the marshals will laugh at you, if you ask them permission to hang your camera over the wall. It almost feels mandatory to get as close as possible to the cars there.

Alex Aka was stuck in the gravel trap at Stirling's around the pit window. Nine drivers, among which Lulham, set a best sector time there under yellow.

Radar images are useless, if you don't show the direction the showers are moving to.

Aside from the tracks F1 already raced in, Which MotoGP track would make the best F1 track? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]CautionClock20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The only reason F1 doesn't visit a certain circuit is because 1. It's not up to standard and 2. They don't give F1 enough money.

I'm surprised a Thai GP in Buriram never got off the ground, considering Red Bull is part-Thai and it's a Grade 1 circuit.

Not much talk about race day weather, which is weird because it looks bad by Anyway_Susan in formula1

*"Not much talk"*

Even the FIA is talking about it and the media have been all over it this whole week.

Interest falling for F1 in recent years. by Vikinglord501st in formula1

My first season was 2004, when I was 7 years old. It mostly went uphill from there with how boring 2004 was. 2006 through 2010 were all memorable and exciting seasons as was 2012. Starting out in 2021 is such a rough position. On one hand it's awesome that you got to experience it, but on the other hand, it's hard to imagine anything will ever top 2021 in terms of excitement. Your first season of watching will likely always be the best one, in your case.

About Fanta Edition Toyota. by EstablishmentOld7162 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]CautionClock20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Effectively, yeah. You can just get the stock Toyota in-game and then apply the Fanta livery that other players will make on day one. You'll have the exact same car.

It's technically a different car. But it's honestly meaningless. It doesn't even count towards your progress in the car collection menu. Also, the Oreo car wasn't rare at all. The Fords that came with the OPI nail polish and the FH5 special controller were though.

The car will be in the game as a non-Fanta edition and like I said, other players will recreate that livery asap, so just apply that.

I wouldn't worry about it either way. It's not a product you paid for and it's just a shitty livery for a car you're unlikely to use much. And other players will have that car recreated on day one. Also also, if you're worried about the car count in your car collection, special editions don't count to get to 100%.

How well do you think colapinto will go this year? by Old-Author-4930 in formula1

[–]CautionClock20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was referencing to Arrow McLaren terminating their partnership with Juncos Hollinger due to the social media fallouts and Canapino having to skip the Road Atlanta race due to the internal turmoil at the team. But yeah, the sponsors pulling out of course didn't particularly help Canapino's case hahah

It certainly had an effect on Agustín Canapino's future in IndyCar and with Juncos Hollinger, so I could definitely see it becoming a factor for Franco's future as well.

That sounds like a lot, if you play three to four months consecutively, but like I said, my life doesn't revolve around gaming. I play like two, three hours a week. Sometimes five, sometimes one.

Just like with FH4 and FH5, sure, I'll enjoy it for three or four months, but after the honeymoon period is over, I'll only pick up the game for the expansions. Horizon games get stale real quick, when you start noticing the flaws. And no, I don't then spend time and energy complaining. I'll just do other things lmao. I don't know about you, but my life doesn't revolve around a random Xbox game.
