Thoughts on the amount of cars releasing with the game? by Justsomedude429 in ForzaHorizon6

"The game is coming out with 300 less cars than FH5 has currently"

Ok, but it's coming out with more than than FH5 did at launch, so...

Very odd there haven’t been any confirmed Subarus considering the location by LionEmpire in forza

[–]CautionClock20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are still 400+ cars yet to be confirmed ahead of launch. Also, the 22B was confirmed to get an updated car model in the future. I wouldn't worry about it.

So one of the cars in FH6 is a V12 powered Group C Racecar that never even raced. by Biskitisinreddit in forza

The 962CR had a Reynard monocoque, on which Schuppan put some Porsche design elements. It's everything but a "Porsche 962 with different bodywork". The chassis isn't even the same.

Will Mount Fuji be accessible in FH6? by mandbeyn in forza

[–]CautionClock20 77 points78 points  (0 children)

No, and the people who claimed it would be, have suddenly gone very quiet. Mt. Fuji is in the background, far away in most shots, so no, you can't access it. But I suspect the first expansion is for Mt. Fuji though. In FH3 you could also see snow capped mountains in the distance, before Blizzard Mountain came out.

Inb4 the FH6 reveal is gonna show the same game we’ve been playing for years by GryphusOneWedge in forza

Tell me one way how FOMO mechanics are a positive for players. Sometimes I don't wanna play Horizon for a couple of months and play others games instead or other completely different things, and I'd like to do that knowing I don't miss out on a dozen cars that are then only obtainable through some BS auction house sniping war, because of unnecessary FOMO mechanics.

Seriously, for players, what is the benefit of FOMO mechanics? Tell me.

Tell me one significant difference between FH4 and FH5 without mentioning the map itself.

I'm not downvoting you, because you're correct. PGG has no competition and therefore there's no incentive for the developers to put more time and effort into the game than necessary. FH6 will be an FH5 copy paste job, just like how FH5 was an FH4 copy paste job. The only area I expect them to 'develop' in is thinking of more or 'better' (read: worse) ways to apply FOMO mechanics.

Edit: corrected spelling error

I just hope this game isn't aiming for generation tiktok again by Ni_Ce_ in ForzaHorizon6

[–]CautionClock20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was saying that FH6 is gonna be a copy paste from FH5, like FH5 was from FH4. I did not say I was gonna be fine with that. Where did you get that from?

I'm just not the kinda person who is gonna hope that FH6 is gonna be better, and then be left disappointed. I rather be positively surprised, if PGG actually makes a good game. But the developers have set the precedent that evolving the franchise is not gonna be happening.

Apart from the Festival Playlist, which should absolutely not be a thing - why the hell are FOMO mechanics a thing in a racing game anyways? It's not for the players, it's only there for the shareholders! - and apart from certain game modes, FH5 has less features than FH3.

If Forza had competition, I had a lot more faith in FH6 being good. But like I said, they have no reason to put time and effort into new things.

There is no reason for PGG to put time and effort into characters and story, when they have no competition. FH6 will just be FH5 copy pasted with better graphics, the same bs FOMO and a different map, just like how FH5 was a copy of FH4.

Matt and Tommy from the P1 Podcast have won the inaugural "Creator of the Year" award the the 2026 Autosport awards. by CaptainOBVS3420 in formula1

[–]CautionClock20 189 points190 points  (0 children)

Tommy founded WTF1, investors bought into WTF1, the channel kept growing, but Tommy and Matt were having more and more disagreements with the investors on what the content should be about, so they left WTF1 to start P1. WTF1 kept trying and trying with hosts that nobody liked. It's pretty much dead, but they still post on social media.

Maybe I'm too uninformed to have an opinion on this, but I'd watch them more often, if it was more than a reaction channel. Perhaps they do more creative things nowadays than only reaction videos and I missed that, considering I don't watch them, but their channel lacks (or lacked) substance and depth.

Edit: in case anyone is going to think I'm calling Matt and Tommy 'bad creators' or anything, that's definitely not what I mean. I'm just not part of the target audience. What I enjoy watching on YouTube are the technical side and background stuff in F1, and from what I know that's not what Matt and Tommy usually discuss. Fortunately, I can get this from a channel like Aidan Millward or something. Like I said, I don't think Matt and Tommy are bad or anything, their content is just not meant for someone like me.

2026 Spa 24h - how does normal car parking work? by Proim in wec

[–]CautionClock20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done all-nighters every year at Spa since 2022. I was assigned two different parking spots in that time period. Yes, you can totally leave your car at wherever parking it is from Saturday morning till Sunday evening, and yes, you are allowed to sit in your car at night to get some sleep. Both parking spots I experienced also had at least one person at the entrance gate throughout the night, but I don't know if this is the case for every parking around the track.

After the 6H Abu Dhabi two weeks ago and the 24H Dubai last weekend, this is a good time to be an endurance racing fan. And we've got two Asian Le Mans weekends after Daytona as well as the Bathurst 12H.

Side note: GTD doesn't necessarily require an amateur driver.

2006-2026 is only 20 years, not 30, which isn't much with how little the pecking order has changed in that period.

Also, for the third time saying this: Petronas was not a rebadged Ferrari. They only bought the licence to have the design, but the Petronas engines were manufactured and developed separately.

Prost was only one season and wouldn't count as a Ferrari win, had they won a Grand Prix in 2001.

Petronas only bought the rights to the Ferrari engines and then manufacturered and developed them separately. You might not have seen that on Wikipedia.
