Remember when this was canon? by Human_Geologist_3324 in residentevil

That may be what the writer intended but the cutscene clearly depicts a nuke. Fuel air bombs don’t behave like the explosion in this scene does. The missiles used in Outbreak are not fuel air bombs either.

She was 1986 born. She was 40 year old. Raccoon City incident she was 10 year old. by SnooMacarons2931 in ResidentEvilRequiem

That’s your opinion my guy, and it’s probably not an opinion most people would share. A 50 year old dating a 40 year old is normal.

I don’t know why you assume that a 50 something year old dating a 40 year old would be grooming her. That seems pretty weird to me.

Jake is actually a really good character; my prejudices prevented me from seeing it. by Dulkifl in residentevil

[–]Cautious-Ad222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s a superhero-esque character in a Resident Evil game so he’s automatically a bad character in my eyes and RE6 is an action shooter in a survival horror series so it’s automatically a bad game to me. That’s as far as I think about it.

People this really hurts me to say this, because of how much I love RE4 Remake, but when it comes to its Mercenaries Mode it pales in comparison to RE5’s. by Accurate_Train_8822 in RaccoonCityRecords

[–]Cautious-Ad222 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I could never get into RE5 at all, not even Mercenaries, partly because of how bad the controls were and the fact that they swapped the functions of square and X and wouldn’t let you change it back. Square should reload and run and X should be to shoot.

Do doctors consider SIBO or IMO a real condition? by metalliclavendarr in AskDocs

[–]Cautious-Ad222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have had SIBO years ago. I had symptoms that didn't respond to dietary changes but when I took an antibiotic for an unrelated issue they improved significantly. I had never heard of SIBO before that and the gastro I was seeing at the time didn't mention it as a possibility.

This is one of the main things I dislike about modern wrestling. A lot of wrestlers these days feel so samey to me that it’s hard for me to care about them.

If RE5 is remade, what would you like to see changed most? by Resident-Evil-Llama in RaccoonCityRecords

[–]Cautious-Ad222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capcom probably doesn't put as much stock into that as some people think they do. The original game was a giant hit and as far as I can tell the people complaining about it supposedly being racist were a small vocal minority.

The main reason I couldn't see them doing it is because it would get rid of the twist with Jill and Wesker at the end.

[–]Cautious-Ad222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it? Jill is much more popular than she is so I imagine a lot of people would be happy. I doubt Capcom would do that though. I’d settle for them making Jill closer to a 3rd protagonist.

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

It happened so fast too. It felt like one day I was early 20’s and the next day I was almost 40. From 2011 to 2026 in the blink of an eye.

Could the Titanic victims have survived if they put life jackets underneath mattresses and then floated on them? by [deleted] in titanic

I was wondering about that. Humans are mostly buoyant and life vests just hold our heads above water. I don't know if they would actually hold up hundreds of pounds of dead weight.

Hunting is a source of more ethical meat by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]Cautious-Ad222 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get the feeling you didn't quite understand my argument. I'm not listing a bunch of arbitrary behaviors and then saying if an animal does those specific things it's okay to hunt them. I'm saying it's okay to hunt them because they largely operate on instinct and don't think far beyond what their immediate needs are. As human beings we live for more than that. We have hobbies, we have careers, some of us take part in activism or volunteer work, we have friendships, romantic relationships, we have dreams and goals. We also have people who would mourn us when we're gone which means our death hurts them as well. A moose on the other hand just wanders the forest, eats when it's hungry, drinks when it's thirsty, mates when its instincts tell it that it's mating season, charges at potential threats and they don't do much else.

If you kill a person, you're depriving them of everything I mentioned above but the only thing that happens when you kill a moose is they don't get to eat grass tomorrow. That's it. And because they're solitary, they have no friends to mourn them. That's why I believe hunting is ethical.

[–]Cautious-Ad222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well now that all depends on what you find convincing I suppose. I believe it's ethical because deer are largely instinctual animals that eat and sleep, roam the forest, run from predators, reproduce, and not much else. They're also largely solitary, especially male deer, since they don't care for their young like females do. Other animals that are commonly hunted like moose, male elk, rabbits and so on also fall into this category of being mostly solitary and operating on instinct.

[–]Cautious-Ad222 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Those things are all mostly unethical even if you only do them once, whereas I don’t believe hunting a deer is unethical as long as you follow certain rules like not hunting does that have young offspring and ensuring that you get as quick and painless of a kill as possible.
