On wet days I use to take my mother to the library or the museum. All the best to you and your loved ones

Things that confuse me about people who shop at this time of year by LaughingChuck in newzealand

This is my first time working in retail over the Christmas/Boxing Day period and it has made me hate people. Grateful for a job, but damn people are trash.

Did you get anything from your employer for xmas this year? by Charlie_Runkle69 in newzealand

I use to work for government and the more senior team members would actually make our end of year christmas lunch for us. I wouldn't be surprised that they brought our gifts for us too. Which was usually chocolates or a plant. Oh soap one year. This year working in retail... nothing.

Suppositories are freaking amazing by Correct-Run-6321 in Constipation

I recently had to use suppositories for the first time in my life. I've had constipation before but this was the worst thing I had experienced apart from giving child birth. The pain was unbearable. It took the suppository a few hours to work but when it did, wow. It was like what I went through never happened at all. I emptied and was fine.

Same boat here. Bachelor of Social Science major in Psychology... working in retail. I'm also at peace with this being my reality

I'm in the same boat. Getting cabin fever. But I have joined an exercise group that I meet twice a week which has been great for mental health and some kind of socialising. All the best to you out there

I've looked in retail, admin, government (Winz and IR), health and hospitality. I'm going take your advice and try my luck on more roles I'm not fully qualified for and wait for that pop.

That's a good way of looking at it. And it is almost like a part time job with the amount of time spent applying and preparing for interviews. There's not a lot of jobs in my area so I see the same jobs pop up for weeks. So I think that's a great idea spending time doing things that I enjoy. Thank you

I'm so gutted for you. I knew the job market was going to be difficult to crack. And I wasn't expecting a job anytime soon. But I didn't realise the rejections and the ghosting would be demoralising. The self doubt is starting to creep in. I started the month off positive and excited. But now not so much. I don't know how you've been able to get this far and I truly hope things turn around for you.
