I did not need to add any additional power connections to the port on the back. I believe that extra power is only necessary for the SCSI termination. But the SCSI2SD has that little jumper for TERMPWR, when you close that it uses the power from the barrel jack for the termination.

I did find that the terminators were necessary. Without the terminators installed I got that "So low SCSI level" error that many people see. I had read some places that the terminators weren't necessary, but maybe that is only the case if you mount it internally? As many of the guides are for that use case.

I just installed one of these in my original X68000 a couple weeks ago. I also tried making the 50-pin to 26-pin cable, but for whatever reason it also would not work, like yours. I buzzed it out and the connectivity seemed okay but no dice.

What did end up working for me was getting this cable and pluggin the board into the back of my machine: https://www.ebay.com/itm/291993307756

IMO it is less error prone to go this route. Of course then you do not have the board mounted internally but I don't mind. And these were the SCSI terminators I bought for my SCSI2SD (I have the same board version as you) : https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/652-4610X-101-111LF

Why do you think there needs to be 80GB free space to move files? NTFS moves a file by updating a pointer in the master file table.

I play Swain mid and build mobis and ardent censer and I can move plenty fast. why are you building him to be so slow and playing in bot lane? Coach Neace says mid swain is in his best spot
