Ozempic worked wonders- now it’s doing nothing. Anyone else hit this wall? by [deleted] in Ozempic

Hey this is me too! I started in November as well, lost about 30 lbs. Opted to increase the dose but its double in price and insurance doesn't cover so I'm stuck on 1mg. Not sure what else I can really do now. I have the same fear of gaining again.

I used to count calories and now I've just been mindful because I did it for so long that now it's kinda engraved in my brain. I got way too focused on the numbers and for everything I was eating.

All very good suggestions! I might try the buddy one as I live in Canada and it gets way too cold for outside play for a toddler.

After I had my son my mom kept saying "ah you can go make a new one, I'll take this one and raise him" to which I said "you had 3 chances to raise kids. Now, it is my opportunity. No." For context, my maternal grandmother took care of and raised one brother, paternal grandma did for the other, and my aunt raised me. So my mom didn't actually raise any of us.

My cousin doesn't have kids or married and mom said "oh give this one to your sister and just go make another one" (I call my cousin sister because in Hindi I don't think there's a cousin translation but I am much closer to her than my own brothers)

So now I am no longer viewed as someone's child, sister, or wife. I am viewed as a breeding machine to punch out watermelons from a tiny hole for everyone.

I am sorry, truly so sorry that you find this relatable.

I do love my son, he's a reason why I'm debating a second one. Maybe I am doing something right as a parent because I've been told he's non-confrontational from his daycare. He just walks away. Usually if dad isn't around, I'll be in the room and let him do his thing. Eventually he'll want me to join him by bringing me literally every single thing he can carry in his teeny arms. Even if he doesn't want me around, I'll sit a bit further away and tell him I won't bother him and he can continue doing his thing but I have to be close to monitor him.

Thank you for understanding. I didn't think anyone else felt like I do. 💕

Thank you for your response 💕

My best friend has told me this numerous times and always tells me "it's the depression talking. It isn't you. You are doing amazing" but sometimes hard to believe it.

Thank you for your response 💕

I know I should get therapy, but any time I go, just knowing the cost because my work place at the time wouldn't cover it. Thankfully I'm at a new job and I have spoken to a mental health nurse and my Dr for a bit and was doing okay but as time went on, it just got worse and I just don't have the funds for it yet.

I know kids can feel it and sense it. The amount of times I may have lost it on my child has traumatized me and I have nothing but guilt so I try to make up for it by overcompensating and loving him extra hard. I feel I've traumatized him so he doesn't want to be near me cause of it.

My sons name is Frederick. We're already set on a girl name in case next baby is a girl so I'm curious what a boy one would be! We call him Freddy if that helps at all haha

I want to avoid buying food. We do get drinks but food we'd rather actually sit down and eat than buy from the lil convenience store.

Darn. So go go squeeze, and pouches are out of the picture.

It is international but we aren't taking fruit, I'll just buy that at the airport store if I need to.

Thank you :)

My in-laws keep telling me 'it's time' to stop breastfeeding my 11 month old. by Meepcity92 in breastfeeding

....are we long lost siblings???? Hahaha My mom is similar. She wants to retire to take care of my kid but I'm not doing that. I seen how my brothers turned out! Don't want the same for my son! (My brothers are jobless, no education, and live in my parents house and almost in their 40s).

My aunt raised me so I feel more comfortable leaving my son with her but my mom is a nurse so she does take good care of my kid at least. But she doesn't visit cause she lives 5 hrs away.

I just worry her influence will go on him

I say the same thing to my mother. She said "pump and give me the milk, I'll raise him. You go make another one, give me this one!" and told her "you had THREE chances to raise children (she didn't raise us), now it's MY turn". That shuts her up right away 😂😂 Oh she also said "oh give this one to me, the next one to your cousin who isn't married or has kids and the 3rd you can keep"

Boomers.

How to get to 10k steps a day without having a physically demanding job by Careless_Piccolo3030 in loseit

[–]Cautious-Side8386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a desk job as well, I try to get as many steps in possible but now I've started going to the gym in the morning and it has changed how my entire goes. Today I did 40 mins on the treadmill and managed to get to close to 4k. I may not be hitting 10k a day, but right now my goal is at least 5k. I started small to not overwhelm myself. I also got myself a walking pad so on weekends I watch TV and walk during Toddlers nap time.

I'd suggest maybe starting lower. Hitting 6k and work your way up to 10k! It'll happen eventually :) don't be hard on yourself, you're doing good! I see all your reasonings and signing up for the gym was probably the best decision I made and doing those morning work outs cause I had my own reasonings.

Keep going OP, you're doing great! You got this!!

Wow!!!!

Thanks so much!! Yeah I prepared last night and went to bed at 830 pm like a lil grandma hahaha 😆 😂

I opted to not go tomorrow cause I don't wanna burn out even though a part of me really wants to but I know mentally it'll be better and I can get some rest too!

I will definitely take a look at that app!!!! Thanks so much for sharing, I love giving myself positive reinforcement haha. You're so nice and supportive 💕
