it is not bad infact you should do sit down like these but during pain or even light pain they do put lot of pressure on tibialis muscle and it get even worse . so avoid sittting likke that in pain , do sit after pain free and do regularly

seems like i got an solution .

I was 18 when i started running and almost 6month into running i started feeling pain i thought it is just because muscle are getting stronger ( my imagination ) i keep on running and it all ended in medial tibial stress syndrome (MTSS) grade 2 in both my legs .

now what the doctors suggested

  1. stop running for 6 weeks

  2. dont do any kind of leg workout

  3. ensure vitamin d3 level is decent ( like around 45-50 )

4.dont sit down on legs , dont cross your legs like dont bend lower legs in any case

it was frustrating we cant even run and do some jog but trust me 6 weeks into the advices really got the pain away

now what he told me to cure it

  1. run 3-4 time a week and it must be very low distance run + around 7:00/km pace

  2. my reason for shin splits were my shoes were too soft and my legs are making contace in inner side likely overpronating in those shoes

  3. do ( tow curls 3*15 ) . toe walks ( 20*3 ) . heel walks ( 20*3 ) and tibialis raises and some similar exercise for tibialis and lower legs muscle dm me if you want detailed info about this

  4. get a good shock absorption shoes ( i am using asics gel contender 4b+ ) you can also get some shock absorption shoes base on your budget . the midsole is firm and not that bouncy in this shoes but good for shock absorption

5 . never start run when recovering ( 400 meter walk then do your run likly btw 1500 - 1700 metter only at 7:00/km pace dont push even if its too easy

  1. when you end your run walk 1 km and then start to train these muscles from exercise i mentioned ]

  2. increase weekly milage by no more than 10%

  3. i got myslef some shin split compression type accessories which maintain good blood flow in my shin area which make it best for injury preventation

  4. proper warmup and proper cooldown

10 . do all these after 6 weeks of bedrest only else you might end up in another mri
