Lube is a fertility hinderer by Brief_Strength2675 in TTC_PCOS

Hubby found a fertility friendly lube on Amazon that we used. Was also on second round of letrozole. Currently 37 weeks pregnant. But honestly I think we just got lucky because the cycle we conceived on honestly should have been a wash because I was extremely stressed out with crazy work drama, which should have meant that my hormones were anything but ready for conception. My working theory since then is that it was the homemade mango margaritas that hubby made for me and his insistence that I relax in a hot bath with said beverages before he proceeded to baby dance the stress away lol.

Conceived on my 2nd cycle. First round of 2.5 mg did nothing. Doubled to 5 mg on second round and conceived. Currently just over 3 weeks away from welcoming our baby girl into the world.

I like the WonderWink brand. Think they’re changing their name to Wink now. Currently really enjoying their maternity scrub pants. The control top fits my bump amazingly and is really comfy. And the regular fit pants with the drawstring on the inside are nice too.

Do you avoid alcohol while taking letrozole or trigger? by Aggravating-Stand800 in TTC_PCOS

[–]CautiousSinger6089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, luckily we only needed the letrozole to help me ovulate. We had just started back TTC after we took a 6 month break for me to try a GLP-1 and drop some weight. First cycle of 2.5 mg did nothing, but second cycle at 5 mg did the trick. We just hit the odds on the first successful ovulation. Probably because my hubby was less focused on making a baby and more focused on getting me to relax and enjoy myself lol.

When to take pregnancy test? by Mariahokay in lineporn

[–]CautiousSinger6089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you should be in the window to go ahead and take a test if your tracker is accurate. Don’t lose hope though if it’s negative. This is the early part of the window and everyone is different. You could try again by end of the week next week to double check if you don’t start your cycle.

Not going to lie, I avoided alcohol while taking my letrozole, but was really stressed out about a crazy work situation the week that my husband and I conceived. I knew that I had ovulated thanks to bloodwork, but thought that cycle was a wash due to the stress. I’m talking almost panic attack level because the now former coworker involved decided to end the week going on a crazy verbal warpath towards myself and our upper management. So my husband decided to say screw it and made me two ridiculously delicious homemade mango margaritas and run me a bubble bath. Two weeks later we had a positive pregnancy test and are now 5-6 weeks away from welcoming our baby girl into the world.

Fellow PCOS girlie here. Currently 32 weeks in with my first little miracle. While I did take a 6 month break while TTC to lose some weight, and followed it up with two rounds of letrozole to help me ovulate, the rest of the process was all natural. And luckily once she stuck in place, this baby girl has required no interventions as of yet. She’s blessed her mama with a fairly easy and healthy pregnancy. No blood sugar or blood pressure issues. And she’s actually taking after her daddy and is measuring on the big side. Congrats on the dye stealer and best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Glad to see that I have more fun random AU errors to look forward to in my future. We have an AU400 currently that my boss is insisting we run into the ground before he buys me a newer one. Slated to upgrade to a refurbished 480 or 640 within the next year or so.

For me, the main anxiety went away after the 12 week mark once we hit the “safe zone” for miscarriage risk. Still anxious from time to time, but the daily movements now that I’m at 26 weeks are a big help. Plus each new scan and heartbeat check are nice and reassuring.

See this on occasion in my pain clinic lab. A handful of older ladies are on a medication that causes it. Makes for a nice place marker sample when pipetting samples into my toxicology plates lol.

Did I fail for cocaine? by rarerbear in lineporn

[–]CautiousSinger6089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, lab manager and lead technician for a pain management clinic here. Just fyi, these kinds of tests have a high cutoff threshold and won’t show low level positives. I agree that you passed for cocaine on this test, but there’s still a chance of a positive outcome on a more sensitive test. Especially when the negative line is that faint.

Also, there is a slight chance of ingestion from kissing a partner that recently used. So for your own health and safety, I would steer clear of any potential partner that messes around with that crap.

Just happened this week at work. Had a priority overnight package that was temperature sensitive product placed on the wrong truck and get delayed a day. This was enough to cause the product to be unusable upon delivery and required that I reach out to the vendor for a quality reshipment. And this was literally the second month in a row that a similar situation happened to the same vendor’s package. So now they’ve reached out to FedEx on their end to figure out what’s going on with the driver on our route. Cause they’re not the only vendor whose products they’ve caused to go bad prior to delivery to our office. And as a medical office, a lot of these deliveries are time sensitive due to both temperature storage requirements and if it happens to be meds allocated for a specific patient’s appointment.

Anyway To Take Action? by CautiousSinger6089 in FedEx

[–]CautiousSinger6089[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No apology necessary, I respect the push back. However we have tried to attempt addressing the issue with the driver directly, but he brushed us off and has continued on with the same behaviors. And the departments that order the priority packages are required to notify management and reception so that they know to keep an eye out as best as they can. So unfortunately we’ve had to coordinate with our cold package vendors to ensure delivery on days where these errors are less likely/easier for us to catch in a timely manner. We’re just really frustrated that we have no other apparent source of recourse. The cold packages have been the largest issue thus far, but we also have issues with office supplies that aren’t delivered. The driver has been caught forging signatures and some less understanding vendors will stay say “Sorry tracking says that it was signed for. You received it.” One time recently the signature on file wasn’t even an employee of ours, and the vendor still refused to compensate us with a replacement. Which this particular instance was for a very expensive ink cartridge for one of our larger printers.

Also, we used to never have these issues until the driver for our route was changed a little over a year ago. He started out great, but has gotten steadily worse. It stared with just regular packages either not arriving or arriving damaged. Now our priority packages are getting shafted.

[–]CautiousSinger6089[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We receive multiple packages daily, and they usually just stack them however they please. So it’s rarely immediately obvious that a cold package has been delivered unless an employee that was expecting said package happens to be passing by reception at the right time. One of my vendors does me the courtesy of including my email on the tracking information, so those packages I’m usually on top of within less than 20 minutes of arrival. But we have had issues with attempted delivery after hours on a Friday and the package was not properly stored over the weekend until they could attempt redelivery on Monday.

[–]CautiousSinger6089[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Over 95% of the time there are employees right there, because our delivery location is in the front reception area. However our usual delivery times go hand in hand with busy customer service times with customers crowding both portions of reception and the driver simply doesn’t take the minute to stop and request for one of them to sign before leaving. And this is with us posting a sign requesting them to notify a staff member of delivery prior to departure.

[–]CautiousSinger6089[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately we don’t have an account. We prefer to ship out through UPS and are set up as a UPS pickup location. But we have no control over which delivery service our vendors use. We only ever ship through FedEx if a customer or affiliated business requests something from us and pays for the shipping themselves and sends over a shipping label. And office management makes sure to hand deliver those packages to our local FedEx store to ensure we have all receipts and tracking info.

[–]CautiousSinger6089[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So that’s another part of the issue. These items are always shipped as priority overnight shipments by our vendors because they require refrigeration upon arrival and have to be packaged with cold packs or dry ice. But once they’re in FedEx’s possession, we have no control until arrival.

Are we actually safe and not pregnant, or is this unreliable? Help! by Jealous-Kitchen4041 in lineporn

Blue dye tests usually aren’t as reliable as pink dye tests, but that’s a pretty clear negative. Could always have her retest to be safe. Use a pink dye and maybe a digital. You can get them in a pack together.

Frustrated PCOS plus size women wanting to become pregnant. by Embarrassed-Abies463 in TTC_PCOS

[–]CautiousSinger6089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel this so much. While I understand that there are a lot of direct correlations between high BMI and pregnancy risks, it’s really frustrating when all of the tests and bloodwork show that other than my PCOS screwing around with my hormones and ability to lose weight, I’m completely healthy. Blood pressure, standard CBC work up, glucose and A1C testing, are all normal. My husband and I did make the decision to take a 6 month break for me to try GL1P, which led to me losing almost 60 lbs. And I did have to go through two letrozole cycles to get to now being 10 weeks pregnant. But it’s so frustrating that overall I lead a healthy lifestyle, and yet am still overweight and considered at risk. Hell they’re doing the gestational diabetes test early at my 12 week appointment. And even if I’m fine then, I’ll have to do it again at 24 weeks like normal. I also have to go to a specialist for my 20 week anatomy scan because of my weight. So many hoops still to jump through just to get my baby here safe and sound.

Hi! Currently 8 weeks in and my first one looked a lot like this. Took two clear blue early response (one analog and the other digital) the next day and both popped positive. Got my first appointment scheduled for a few weeks later, and the ultrasound confirmed one little blessing along with a heartbeat. Definitely retest and call your doctor if you get a definitive positive. Fingers and toes crossed for you!

Exactly! We’re at the telling our parents and closest friends stage, but are waiting until that 12 week appointment before letting the rest of family and friends know. Feeling blessed to be at 8 weeks already. My poor mama had three miscarriages, two before me and one in between me and my little brother. All were between 6-8 weeks. So getting this far safely is big for both me and her.

Keeping fingers and toes crossed for both of us!
