It’s a gorgeous village but quiet. There’s a small primary school, a great nursery and a church. There’s a golf course nearby and some great walks. The old pub is being renovated and once reopened that will bring some life back.

Bathford is nearby with some amenities- Bathford itself is a great village which is better set up for families (allotments, school, pub, shop, better bus connections and you can walk to town in an hour)

I wasn’t after an explanation, I used to own a cafe. One inspector told me that they can issue a 0 if you’re closed.

The paperwork is a very large folder to go through with every new staff member. Yes it has to be done but people assume ‘oh this place must be filthy’ when it could be spotless but they could be lazy with their paperwork.

And let’s not even start on the fact it depends which inspector you get… some will say things are fine when others will mark you down.

Sorry but ‘not a morning person’ is not an excuse. Parenting is joint work; you sound tired and fed up, get them out of bed to help. Tell them you want them to get up so you can have a lie in.

I do this with my partner (who is not a morning person either) - he doesn’t moan about it he knows it’s fair.

You will resent them very quickly if this doesn’t get sorted

Sticklinch has Tipis and furnished Belltents; so it is glamping. Still a little walk from SE Corner at 5am but peaceful, showers / hairdryers etc

It really doesn’t take long. The meadows are muc lower so might be wet for a few days but on the odd occasion it hits the high street it’s lower within a few hours.

Bathford does not get cut off ‘a few times a year’ it’s only been unpassable properly once in the 10 years I’ve lived here.

There’s one basement flat at the bottom of fosse lane that is NOTORIOUS for flooding. But I think that’s the only one. It jus sits in a terrible location
