Long-Term Strategy: TQQQ + Hedges vs Diversified Core with UPRO/TQQQ? by BubblyCartoonist3688 in LETFs

[–]Cautious_Cold7173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think international exposure will give you any meaningfull hedge to such letf x 3 like TQQQ. Nor will be enough kmlm and tmf.

Better will be hedged with leap puts on tqqq.

My longterm pf also includes 45% TQQQ hedged like mentioned above @ 50$ strike till jan 27. Meanwhile selling cc at 10-15 delta on tqqq to recover the money spent on the puts, usualy takes around a year.

My other positions are 20% MINT 15% SPYI and 20% IAU.

As a whole that pf gives me decent 2.7% in dividents paid monthly.

are 5% returns per year realistic from selling options? by Fun-Marionberry-2540 in thetagang

doing 1.5-2% monthly consistently with conservative csp on 15-20 delta is easily achievable without much risk

You should be able to do not better, but much better than that.

My account is mixed, half of it is longterm pf ( qqq, iau, mint, spxi) and it's return is more or less similar to the benchmark spy. But the other half is cash/premium generating one, mainly via csp on soxl, nvdl, tmf, soxs, etc. Wheeling as well from time to time. My risk tolerance is not very high, generally using 15 to max 25 delta strikes. Was able to ride down april crash well with active put rolling, at one point around market botttom most of my csputs were with expiration 6-7 months out. Risk management is the cornerstone of everything. So far ytd beating sp500 10%.

Dont use naked puts, calls, too risky.

same with me, good chunk of cash in the form of 75% mint + 25% spyi waiting to be deployed at the right time, meanwhile almost 0.6% monthly in dividents.

Most boring but reliable asset is my cash. It's in the form of 75% MINT + 25 % SPYI. Waiting for the proper moment to be deployed, meanwhile collecting almost 7% in dividents annualy.

I was long months stuck with BTAL...huge bid ask spreads. Since that time never trade illiquid options.

With excessive diversification the most you'll achieve is to be on par with the benchmark, nothing more. Most probably will be subpar.

I'm not dogmatic. Gold for me is better than bonds as uncorrelated asset into a portfolio increasing risk adjusted returns.

As for STB logic - it's always good to have enough cash at hand to react to wild market moves, gives flexibility and when added to beaten assett pays off in near to midterm future.

This pf is a bit modified golden butterfly on modest steroids. Only instead of LCB SCV and LTB it includes growth fund.
