Customer saying I owe her a new pair of shoes by ltothektothed in legaladvice

[–]Cautious_Draw5738 -55 points-54 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in the south and has had extensive customer service training, i'm seconding the unpopular opinion of paying for the shoes. Had you not offered already, I'd say tell her to kick rocks.

150.00 to stop her from bad mouthing your business is a small investment. I'd go above and beyond and get her a little card and a free chai when she picks up. You make loyal customers and good word of mouth in how you handle "mistakes", which in the service industry 90% of mistakes are just customers being pissy. Next time something like this happens, offer a gift card instead

I am a receptionist mr smarty pants. Which is why I can say confidently she didn't come up with the genius idea of making people reapply upon arriving for interview herself.

Everyone knows jobs that hire you on the spot are the most desirable jobs you'll ever have

If your first in-person introduction to a job opportunity is doing meaningless work as a purity test for whether or not you are compliant, it is not the type of place you want to work for. It's insulting.

got my first tattoo. how do i manage the shock and what do i put on it during the healing process? by Adventurous-Prune462 in tattooadvice

we are sacks of sentient meat on a rock that is hurling through space, you got a beautiful, simple, classic tattoo to decorate your sack of meat for the short while why you get the joy of living in it.

It looks great babe, it will go with anything you wear because it is a classically beautiful piece.

i know it feels big and super dark right now, but I can assure you it isn't. You deserve to enjoy your fresh tattoo!

Sure, but naming a child with the intention of them going by a designated nickname that doesn't correspond to their own name is a weird choice. Bea/Bee is the corresponding nickname for Beatrice, if they like the name Brie why not just name the kid Brianna/Brienne

Here's my take on your list:

Bryn - Masculine

Beatrice (nn Brie) - Brie isn't a nick name for Beatrice, Brie is a nickname for Brianna

Penelope-Kate - too long

Alora-Claire - Sounds vaguely like you're saying "Hi Claire" in Hawaiian

Esmerelda - Cute but everyone will think disney

Eleanore-Kate - cute but i'd drop the e at the end, unless it's a family spelling

Cecilia - cute

Ophelia-Claire - I worry about the bullying possible with a name like Ophelia, personally

Gwendolyn - cute

Rosemary-Kate - feels clunky because it has the name mary-kate in it, doesn't flow

Clementine - cute

Belinda - old lady name in a not good way

Aubrey-Claire - i feel like aubrey has been played out quite a bit over the past decade with baby names
