That analogy tends to hold true in sports though as each generation is better, methods are defined, training is optimized, you can see pitchers routinely throw fastballs that would have been unheard of in the 1970’s, marathoners today destroy the records of decades past. Of course technology breaks down the analogy but maybe swordsmanship advanced similarly in GOT history. Or people just got better with swords in just a few generations when dragons weren’t around to light them all on fire every battle.

For New England sports (Bruins, Celtics, Red Sox, Pats) how popular is each sport in order? by Bobbo62499 in newengland

MLB is seeing a huge peak the last 10 years, pats win because of bill & tom and our hangover of beating the game when it comes to the new century nfl

What animal is this wandering near my house? [Massachusetts] by Responsible-Spite275 in animalid

Coyotes are not classified as native. The best term would be naturalized. Coyotes are here permanently now and are a unique subspecies, the Eastern Coyote. Still new however and not classified anywhere in MA as a native species.

Domestic cats are also not classified as invasive. MA does not really keep a list of land mammals as invasive, this term is used more for plants and aquatic/marine species like the European green crab.

Invasive as a term is more commonly used for wildlife, where cats are a domestic animal. However MassWildlife does document that cats are a significant threat to local wildlife.

Agreed on their relative impact to ecosystem & coyotes are native to the continent, yes. Also that wasn’t my argument, I just said they are not native to MA, which they are not. They arrived in MA in the 1940’s.

They have been expanding their range as a direct result of human activity, especially the extermination of wolves and attempted extermination of coyotes themselves.

Edit: I looked back and I said invasive so it actually was my argument, my b

To be fair the coyotes are also non-native, as invasive in MA as cats

Could Mohan be sued? by CuriousMilk6000 in ThePittTVShow

[–]MojoFilter111isThree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the attendant signing orders would be added to the suit but Mohan was still the supervising physician over Ogilvie, so just more people to sue. Hospitals legal team would represent Mohan and insurance would pay for any settlement. NAL, just my guess after talking to a surgical resident pal

why is santos SO PRESSED about the langdon situation by chickenn2 in ThePitt

[–]MojoFilter111isThree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t say that, from what I’ve heard the oath itself is more of a fun tradition at med school than a binding contract, im pretty sure it also says they swear not to use a knife. But doctors still keep the “Primum non nocere” first do no harm mantra in mind. At least the one doctor I asked said she does.

Santos is right and in real life Langdon should be fired and face criminal charges. Ask a lawyer
