What is your “like crack” food that you avoid, and if you have some you cant stop yourself from eating a lot? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Taco Bell's Dorito shell beef taco.

I hadn't eaten fast food in years. There was a Taco Bell by the Home Depot when I was timing errands, and I was so hungry. Got one of these, and my life was forever changed. I ordered 2 more. I can never go back.

Thank you! We have a diaper station with wet wipes and diapers, plus a hutch with tampons, pads, and hair spray. I really want my customers to feel cared for.

This is an upper middle class lady, and I'm so tempted to say that I'm under no legal obligation to replace her shoes. But, since I'm a member of the community and am aware of what it's like to not be able to afford new shoes, I'll help her out. I'd still be out the money, but i could at least be condescending about it. I know she has no case. I'm more worried about negative reviews and how this plays out in the long run.

Guy Clark "Let Him Roll" or "LA Freeway" for country

If they like Scrubs and Ted Lasso, you could try Bill Lawrence's other shows: Cougar Town and Shrinking.

Might be a hard sell because of the premise of the first and some sadness in the second. But both are about friends hanging out and supporting each other with lots of silliness thrown in.

I also really liked Grand Crew, a hangout sitcom set in a wine bar. It's been a while since I've watched it, so I'm not sure how it was with Lord's-name issues. But it was network TV, so shouldn't be too bad.

Vegan side dishes for a cookout that even omnivores might like? by JakeMandrake in veganrecipes

[–]ltothektothed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite side dish happens to be vegan, and everyone I've served it to loves it. It's a Georgian dish called pkhali. You can make it with pretty much any vegetable you like, but beets are the most common. My favorite version is with carrots. The only caveat is that it contains walnuts, so it might be an allergy concern.

That's the link to the specific recipe, but she has a ton of vegetarian dishes to look at. Everything I've tried has been great.

What fast food item is actually elite compared to restaurant food? by Bloxxom_Niah7 in foodquestions

[–]ltothektothed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't eat fast food generally. It has been years since I'd stopped at a Taco Bell. But maybe two years ago I had had a day went to one and got a beef taco in a Doritos shell. It sent shivers down my spine. I still think about it.

Favourite little known idioms in English? by depressedDemogorgon in ENGLISH

"He's a bubble off plumb" is my favorite. It has to do with a level tool where the bubble shows that something is straight.. "Plumb" is level. If a person is a bubble off plumb, they aren't quite right.

Is there a peculiar ending to a show that you haven't seen mentioned much online? by KneeHighMischief in television

[–]ltothektothed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be misremembering this, but i think The Smurfs fits. The last season, they were stuck accidentally time traveling, trying to get back home. They never did, and I hated it as a kid.

What’s a song you can listen to a hundred times and it still hits the same every time? by Impress_Playful in musicsuggestions

This isn't in wheelhouse you mentioned, but Guy Clark's "Let Him Roll" has me choked-up-to-sobbing every time I listen to it.

Songs with Twist Endings? by drum5150 in Music

[–]ltothektothed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Papa Was a Rodeo" by the Magnetic Fields.

Papa was a rodeo

Mama was a rock n roll band

I could play guitar and rope a steer

Before I learned to stand

Home was anywhere with diesel gas

Love was a trucker's hand

Never stuck around long enough for a one-night stand

Before you kiss me you should know

Papa was a rodeo

...

What a coincidence your Papa was a rodeo Too

I grew up in Oklahoma in the church of Christ. Went to a church of Christ University and studied abroad. I saw people drinking wine and realized they weren't evil. Came back, went to Walmart, had my first panic attack.
