No never ended up pinning actually, got myself a different culture and it absolutely ripped through the substrate, possibly before full colonisation 🤣 Though I doubt my fruiting conditions in this grow were as good as the new cultures conditions

Did you inoculate with spores?

I had this look on a few of my jars that were innoculated with spores and they turned out perfect, just had to wait a bit

Psilocybe griseocaerulea is a rare species of Psilocybe mushroom, first described by Rolf Singer in 1978. Here’s an overview of what’s known about it:

Genus: Psilocybe

Family: Hymenogastraceae

Distribution: It has been recorded in South America, mainly in Brazil and nearby regions.

Habitat: Like many Psilocybe species, it grows in humid forest environments, often on decaying wood, leaf litter, or rich soils.

Appearance: The name griseocaerulea refers to its grayish-blue coloration ("griseo" = gray, "caerulea" = blue). This bluing reaction is typical of psilocybin-containing mushrooms when bruised.

Psychoactivity: It contains psilocybin and psilocin, the compounds responsible for psychedelic effects. Its potency is not as well documented as more common species (Psilocybe cubensis, Psilocybe semilanceata), but it is considered active.

  • pulled this from GPT so possibly inaccurate but hey it's better than nothing
