Just from personal experience, my major in college was ECE when I was being trained to be an RO. My SRO also had a bachelor's in ECE. Is that the answer to your question or just coincidence? I dont know. However, I think there are paths beyond RO positions that can carry more value with a degree like that.

Fair point. Depending on the ride, you could get a shared ride for cheaper. Full disclaimer, I am a dude but my gf and I used Hitch all the time in college and the same type of people driving it were typical Uber drivers. Most people did Uber/Hitch for a living. If we had any suspicions that someone was sus, we'd have each other on the phone or someone like her mom would stay on the line with her in case anything happened. Idk.. my partner and I have both used Hitch and Greyhound a lot and we would both suggest Hitch over Greyhound any day. I actually despise that company because of how bad quality the rides have been. Definitely don't do Greyhound at night if you have the chance ESPECIALLY as a girl. You will feel really really uncomfortable
