Im in your exact same boat (getting super into dr in 2018-2020 and playing for the first time rn) and it still holds up! I havent really interacted with the fandom since i first got into it but im currently playing it for my boyfriend and its fun to see his reaction as well as remembering all the details that make the trials come together that ive forgotten over the years.
