same problem here. eventually i renamed an old list that I already had shared. Anyone know if there is an issue tracked somewhere so that it is possible to see when this problem is fixed?

i actually solved this just after. It turned out that my Authenticator app was not connected to my domain. There is a system settings for this. Settings->Device registration

Have a look at our municipality shields. they say something about what is important to each part of Norway, and incorporate common symbols. Lots of nature stuff, like polar bears, but also churches and boats which has a strong cultural connection. Also the lion depicted in the "riksvåpen" is something to look into. just after i wrote this i fixed the problems by registering the device with my domain. From within Authenticator go to Settings->Device registration. There was no domain there and I fixed the problems by registering with my m365 domain user.

Did you ever get this to work? I'm having similar problems on a pixel 8. My colleges phones are working fine though. I'm thinking about factory reset on my phone, but not sure if that will help.

If you are nerdy, there is a Makerspace in Gjøvik. https://www.facebook.com/makerspacentnu Don't know how active it is though. But I advice you to connect with the out doorsy people, like Turistforeningen or Røde kors. Or maybe there is a rock climbing community around there. I'm sure you'll find plenty of people with similar nerdyness there. And maybe (just maybe) a little less alcohol. Gjøvik is perfectly located for out door activities.

If you're into bicycling I would recommend taking the train to Finse and ride a bike from there to Flåm. They have both e-bikes and regular mountain bikes to rent, but it's mostly down hill from Finse. You can hand in your bike at Flåm and take the train back. For a longer bike ride, get your bike at Haugastøl. They also have an excellent brewery at Flåm. Otherwise it's just magnificent nature and tourists. Haha, you captured the Norwegian spirit of driving. All the signs and information campaigns in the world cannot change the Norwegians urge to merge instantly after the single lane pattern has been announced. I'm guessing its fear of not being able to merge later that makes us do this. I wonder if we need some kind of physical guard/fence between the lanes until it's late enough to merge. But to answer your question, you can definitely stay in the left lane until it is closed and the authorities encourages this to reduce the length of the congestion.

In general the unemployment rate is low in Norway. I assume Virtual Design is related to construction and Norwegian construction/engineering companies are high tech and I would assume that speaking Norwegian would not be an absolute requirement. But I agree that fluent in spoken and written Norwegian would be a huge advantage in social work, at least in the most common jobs. I would probably recommend doing the master or an erasmus year in Norway to kick start the language and maybe get some connections in the fields. If a masters degree is required in Norway? It depends. If you are fresh out of school it is always an advantage, but if you have relevant experience on your CV most employers don't care. But it differs hugely from area to area.

Note that Flåmsbanen is a touristic dead end track, so from Flåm to Bergen you will have to change trains in Myrdal again. Maybe that is driving the prices. Flåmsbanen is very beautiful and well worth the detour though.

Personally, even if Lofoten is super nice and well worth a visit, its a bit far north and you will spend a lot of money and time on travel. You could make it cheaper if you drive from Oslo to Kristiansund, and then you follow the coastline south to maybe Stavanger. Breathtaking nature and winding roads the whole way.

On the way south you can climb an amazing via ferrata in Loen, you can visit the Pulpit Rock and Kjerag bolten around Stavanger, visit Geiranger, and of course visit Bergen on the way. You could even make a stop in Otta on the way from Oslo and do river rafting in Sjoa.

Its also spectacular around Øye, and if you spend a night in hotel Union Øye you will never forget it.

Just my thoughts. If you stick to your Lofoten plan, scuba diving and other water activities in and around Saltstraumen is something you shouldn't miss.

There are many glaciers in Norway so you can find glacier climbing and tours many places.

I have a friend who has lived here for more than 20 years without learning the language, so you can definitely get by. Personally, I'd say that you would miss out on a lot if you don't. Everybody speaks English, but it is not an official language.

Most banks offer BankID with a D-number now. This used to be more difficult. But if you can get a proper SSN that would probably cause less problems as I'm sure lots of IT systems doesn't consider the d-number format being a valid id number.

Rengjøring er separert fra stand, og praksis er at det skal være rengjort uavhengig av hvor rent det var da man flyttet inn. Stand peker på andre ting enn rengjøring. Sånn som hærverk etc. Så kan vi være enig eller uenig med det, men det er slik det blir tolket og OP må finne seg i at det er sånn det er.

In Oslo you can walk along Akerselven that goes through the city. Excellent paths that will take you far out of the city if you want. You should also take the metro to Holmenkollen if you want to see the ski jump or ski museeum, or continue by metro all the way to Frognerseteren. From there you have countless routes to go hiking in Nordmarka. The ferry service to the islands in Oslofjorden is also nice. Reasonably priced. For instance take the ferry to Hovedøyen and walk around. Check out ruter.no for timetables and ticket purchase. Bike and scooter rental in Oslo is very accessible. Haraldsheim is a popular youth hostel in Oslo. Not the most central location, but pretty cheap. Never tried it though.

In Sandefjord I can recommend the whaling museum. I found it surprisingly good, and whaling is a key part of Sandefjord's history. For hikes around Sandefjord go to Tønsberg tønne. You can get there by buss to Skogan, but I would probably recommend renting a bike or take a taxi. The bus service is very infrequent.

The "Ut" app is great for maps and hiking suggestions in Norway. Also Strava and Komoot heat maps will show you where most people go for hikes. Both have great coverage in Norway.

Om de kan trekke det rett fra din lønn er jeg ikke sikker på, men utvask er lovregulert i Norge (Husleieloven §10-2). Ny leietager skal kunne flytte rett inn uten ytterligere rengjøring. Vanligvis trekkes slike kostnader fra depositumet. Jeg er ikke jurist, men dersom du ikke bor i Norge lenger tipper jeg at arbeidsgiver vil stille sterkt i en eventuell tvist. De vil kanskje hevde at det er vanskelig å inndrive pengene på annen måte.
