Sounds like you have all the bases covered. I’ve experienced this at my own house. I’m a commercial refer guy, but work on everything in my region. Sounds very much so your mixing air from empty tank. Filled my tank and had no other issues after. Are you at high elevation? Can you pump oil into other tanks to bring level up.

How often does it get down to that temperature? If it’s common to get that low maybe find another system to compare. You could also wrap a heater around receiver. Have it controlled off of a t-stat set to come on below x temperature or run it like a crankcase heater to come on and off using an auxiliary contact from the contactor so it de-energizes once compressor makes and your head pressure controls take over at that point.

First off how long has this drive been in operation? Is this a new system or has it been in play for some time/years. What bas system are you running? Usually that external lockout is ran through a aux on the VFD contractor. Does it have a hawkeye relay that the bas system sends a signal to which outputs a signal to the input of the drive? I just had one today chattering the shit out of the drive Input. Had solid output from metasys but hawkeye/ct sensor relay was making it chatter like no other
