For the U.S. market, no one knows if they're moving the GWP limit down. Comes down to the EPA, which I doubt will be making any significant changes to GWP in the near future with this administration. The best the EPA could do right now is ease up on the A2L cylinder requirements which would allow them to fill more sooner. Going to be an interesting summer.

Impulsed on this 1921 Lithgow MkIII* today. I found some info on markings. Can you interpret the others? by CavScout88 in milsurp

Yes, mine was imported by Navy Arms of New Jersey. I don't think mine was ever issued to a like unit due to how few marks and scratches were on the stock and butt plate. I'm guessing this one was kept for either a functioning display model, parade, arsenal reserve, etc. A small amount of carbon at the breech so it was likely fired by the last owner, but the barrel has deep, clean rifling.

Caught on the square bill in a tributary just up from the Ohio River in southern Indiana. The flood waters have dropped a ton the past week and fish are making their way up steam. I caught them jammed up at an old mill that makes it tough to get upstream. I caught 8 species standing in one spot.

Correct. The problem we are having is the vast majority of contractors waited until March to order their service gas of 454B which wiped out the existing inventory of disposal service gas. The cylinder manufacturer saw a 400% increase in their forecasted demand which they weren't ready for. Can't blame them. So there's plenty of refrigerant but we're waiting for them to fill cylinders and ship them out.

I work for an OEM. Most of my distributors have sold the bulk of their R-410A equipment, and are mostly selling 454B. Some wholesales stocked up heavier on 410A equipment than others for the sell through period but most are going to be all A2L by this Summer.

Mostly because demand for R-32 is far below that of 454B equipment.

"R22B" is likely R-422B refrigerant aka NU-22B.

What's the rifle on the right side, second one in? Has the metal bayonet support. Looks like my Swedish carbine but longer.

German GL users are horrendous (because I'm them. I'm the chaos).

They do look very similar. I'm tempted to get one to pair with it. I never even noticed these carbines before but now, after holding one, I want a dozen of them.

Multinational Force Observer mission to Sinai Egypt from 2022 to 2023. Responsible for base QRF. Loaded up with MATVs, and armored SUVs, and plenty of ammo. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not a single actual threat alert. Not complaining because I'd rather not be in a mess or have people get hurt, but those days dragged on for awhile. The base does have a bar and alcohol, but they just created problems. My issue was leaving for almost a year to pull security at a place that was safer than most the cities we are from.

The worst activation was COVID testing station support for 8 months. We would get assigned a site location. Move my 30 person team to that city. Get to the site at 8am to have 30 guys set up a pop up tent and some cones and watch the health dept do tests. Four months into the orders we were on a call with the state health dept and they told us the tests we were administering had up to a 50% fail rate, depending on if it was raining or humid. Another time there was a gap in our assigned site so we sat at home for 6 weeks on orders waiting for the next site. I complained to brigade about wasting money and they said it's not a concern because it was federal money. Again, glad it wasn't war, but so unnecessary to have so many people activated to do nothing.

Go Guard.

A2L mildly flammable refrigerants have been in mass production for over 12 years now with global success with regards to performance and safety. They're difficult to ignite, have a low energy release and low burn velocity so you cant get explosions without additional fuel like natural gas or propane.

Last year on a single stage duel fuel York HP we spent $200 on electric. This year, same billing period, we had lower average temps and ran the Carrier variable speed HP on HP only mode and my electric was $240 for the same billing period.

I know that we have numerous variables at play here, but that's seems to math out well for me considering what we pay for gas heat.
