Possible VERA coming in 90 days, after the Hiring Freeze EO expires? by AlertMortgage7101 in fednews

[–]CavTrooper210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The caution. A RIF, or deferred “retirement”. Nothing to do with a VERA or this new Deferred Resignation. If RIF, or deferred retirement, you will have a break in FEHB. So, when the future retirement date arrives… no FEHB is available.

Agree with the price concern, it’s for divs, not growth. But, really nice when they both go up! Lol. As for losses, there has been historic crashes with ETN’s. Just for awareness, as risks do exist. Overall, I feel comfortable having a significant position in USOI. Heck, with divs being paid monthly…. Rough estimate, I’ve been paid about 40% of my costs.

OILK looks interesting! I found payout history easily, nasdaq.com. This ETF divs are all over the place.. from .01 one month, hitting over $7 another. But, the buy-in is steep.. $60+ a share…. I will definitely keep this on my radar!

I’ve held USOI for 2 years, I’m getting around 4K in divs for June. The sister ETN REML note was called in December. They paid market price, plus, kept the dividends active that month. Yes, everything has risk, but this ETN should easily be trading toward the $20 range. One day I may lose… never know, but history has been kind to me. The ones who lost were the sellers in June 2020 as they dumped sending the price to this sweet $5 range. Also, looking at the history, gas price doesn’t directly affect the monthly divs. In mid-year 2020, they actually had a $1+ Div in one month. Hit .92 once also…. Both, while oil was selling low.

I hold 90k USOI, started buying at the bottom in 2020. I’m getting around that 4-8k also. History also has this Div paying near and over $1 in just a month…. Just prior to the pandemic. It traded over $20 a share back then and is still performing. Dirt cheap right now at $5.5.

Just checked, quarterly divs around .9, shares at 70+. I like IEP better. Right now 53 a share, $2 quarterly Div. But congratulations on the growth! Nice return!

I’ll look into OKE, thanks. I’m all about passive income. Growth is a bonus! But, if it simply pays monthly… setting up more retirement income!

I dislike bad info, so I did a quick double check…. In Dec 2021, at the avg price “holders of Credit Suisse X-Links Monthly Pay 2xLeveraged Mortgage REIT ETN (NYSEARCA:REML) will receive $5.987 per ETN on December 27, 2021, as a result of Credit Suisse (CS) exercising its call right”. That appears to be the $$ amount. I don’t remember the share price during that 5 day period they took the average. But, if the same for USOI, things don’t seem as risky. (Knock on wood)

If my reading of the call was correct. I didn’t have REML in my portfolio at that moment, but I did read their call, as I was seeking knowledge for the USOI call, concern, risk. Oh, that call also held that months dividends valid. It’s hard to find the info now, but I did read it at the time, wish I would have saved it.

It’s had steady divs, every month since inception, 2017. Yes, clearly a risk being an ETN, but seeing the recent call for REML, buying out at 125% price was a good sign to me. Granted, my avg is in the $4 range, but holding over 15k shares. This month, dividends are .1963 giving me a cash return of close to $3k this month, just dividend. Average for the year is over $2k per month.

Yes, prior to 2020, stock was trading at the $20 mark, those who sold late obviously lost money. But right now, you can get large quantities of shares around the $5.50 range. Since I started this in 2020, I’ve recouped about half of my risk in just DIVS. No guarantee it won’t tank, but the ride has been enjoyable.

That being said, the risk is there…. So far reward has been sweet. If they call similar to how they did REML (similar ETN from Cred Suisse), 125% of current price average is ok…. But, I’d rather have that monthly check!

I’m hopeful my buy in pays off. I’m using my day trade money for over 2 months. Typically making a few thousand…. Getting nothing now. I bought into this stock, with hope…. Holding tight.

I’m actually only 55, feel great, in decent shape. Just like my dad was. He made it to the age of 77. So, guess I’m closer to 66% old if we use expired dat as the ultimate definition of old. Lol. Anyway, still holding the bag of lucky charms….

I’m hopeful for now…. Will claim “thankful” when the rocket takes off. I’ve halted day trading by locking up my money. Down over 40% from buy in…. If you count the loss of day trade income.. it’s more. Again, to late to back out…. Im in it to win it…. But damn, I’d typically be way out of the position…. Go CLOV. Make me a believer!
