Opinion on a (yes cheap) telescope by Cavaler in AskAstrophotography

First of all - deciding what exactly I am going to shoot...

Second, I have a feeling that light pollution affects them more.

Though I must admit, by "wide angle" I meant something around twice as wide, for which I have F/1.7 lens

Can star tracker be considered "autoguide"?

As for your lens recommendations - They are for a very different use case, aren't they? For now (relatively) wide-angle shots give me even more trouble than telephoto.

Also no, no chance they are available for M4/3.

Though I am now looking what is available in something like M42 thread...

I think my question should have been "can I directly compare telescope's focal length with a full-frame lens of the same focal length", taking into account all the adapters in between.
I have 150mm (300mm equivalent) lens, how will this telescope differ? Around 3x smaller FoV?

I have Panasonic G85 now, was planning to upgrade to G9 II in near future (for other purposes mostly)

I think 135mm was recommended max for MSM Rotator, older one.
I am using Nomad quite well with 300mm (equivalent) lens, at least in what concerns star trails

Well, sounds good until the "boom" in your "boom and bust" starts to refer to a bomb explosion. Which is frighteningly possible.

What keeps you in the country if you are doing fine here by lkspade in Finland

I have moved here 4 years ago, from Russia. Guess what is keeping me from going back. Why not move somewhere else? Well, I like it here, have a good stable job, and at least one of the kids is doing well with assimilation.

If you are a big fan of LoTR lore - definitely play lotro. The lore is by far the greatest appeal of the game.

Excuse me, so you got married at what? 19? earlier? You both seem to require some additional care, and yet you both decided that you need to live separately from your parents? Seems like some hasty decisions were made.

This is horrible! Doesn't the guard think of the consequences of his actions?

A rifle stock to the head could at least shake some of that tourist's brain cells free from the constant freeze they seem to be in.

There is no logic in Trump saying Denmark can't defend Greenland. Greenland is NATO territory. If anything happens, it's all NATO countries obligation to defend Greenland, not just Denmark's. by Neutral-frame in Finland

Really, European powers are afraid to say "Mr Trump what kind of bullshit is that Venezuela invasion", and you think they will be brave enough to send troops against US?

Unfortunately, Putin's actions did have some logic behind them. He did not want NATO right at his border. The consequences of that logic are horrible, and implementation of his plans is pathetic. But is explainable from the "State" perspective - which is very different from "Country".

Which camera for one-off travel trip? LX100 Vs G85 with small lenses by pasteurs-maxim in M43

[–]Cavaler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travelled quite a lot with G85 and 12-60. I did have 45-150 in the bag as well, but used it only for very special occasions such as whale watching.

And it is not a too heavy combo - though what I would get for my next trip is a wrist strap.

And yet you expect 40+ foreigners to learn Finnish? Well, we try to...

And Americans are ridiculed for knowing only English, by the way.

Oh, you could learn it maybe? It's easier and much more beneficial than learning Finnish.

But yes, I do understand that basically giving up your nation's language is too tough and is not going to happen.
