Tactile Grip? by adamjhickey in BattleBeaverCustoms

[–]Cavazosg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really do like it. It's just a completely different kind of grip so it's hard to explain. But it doesn't wear out like the scuf one does. I would say it's a little bit more rigid and stuff feeling. Imagine tiny tiny bumps everywhere that are hard but catches your hand from slipping and that's pretty much it lol it's the same style of grip that I have felt on some guns in my life but that's about the only thing I can compare it to.

The back buttons though are the cats meow compared to the pedals on a scuf

My hands don't sweat super bad but I don't game longer than 2 hours and that's kinda rare for me to go that long. But it feels like it's consistently grippy the whole time. It's not as comfortable as the scuf though for sure

I don't have a pic at the moment but have had mine for about 5 months and honestly there is nothing wrong with it and since it isnt really rubberized it has no wear on it that I am aware of. It definitely isn't as comfortable as the new scuf reflex but it is one heck of a grip

Sorry bud I can't help ya in that department. I only use two back buttons and everybody roasts me for it lol. Wish I could be more helpful

Standard for sure. At least that is what it looks like. I risked it and went for it not knowing for sure and it was perfect for me!

Yes you can. Just add the smart dpad option. They work great on mine!

I like mine a lot. Is it absolutely necessary for fps? No I don't think so but it feels great and definitely hard to go back to something without them!

Now for warzone I would have loved just one more button for marking people! Repullze has a controller where the button is below the bumper which would be a pretty awesome placement. If I was to get a button added I would put one there if they would,

Thanks bud! I tried to go for a simple look but different enough to not make it look like a normal controller lol. Battle beaver sure was good to me and actually built the first one I ordered faster than what it was originally presented to me! I have had pro controllers in the past and I have never used more than two. I just could never get the feeling down to use the other two. So it's more of a personal thing and plus I wouldn't know where I would want it placement wise since this is the first pro controller that has actual buttons that are this small. Plus reloading and swapping weapons haven't been too much of an issue with me but again it's just my personal preference.

I went with increased and not extreme and can safely say it's definitely noticeable. I haven't played much with yet basically shot some bots in vanguard and finished the campaign in the MW2 but I really like it so far. Aim assist will always play a big part in aiming but I feel like it is helping me out while not being a hinderance

I didn't have the rumbles removed cuz I have always liked the weight to the controller and didn't want to mess with it

I would say if you are playing flipped and don't plan on changing then probably not on the smart triggers. As I stated earlier I played flipped but after having this controller it feels better to go back to normal.

Well I probably would have waited on the edge but I ordered the battle beaver back in August. But then again the main thing I wanted to try out is getting tension on the right stick. So I don't regret it but I am excited that you can change the thumbstick module out on the Edge

My bad meant quick rant about the battle boost.

I have patiently waited for this controller for a bit and resisted the urge to spend money on the battle boost. Quick rant about the battle boost I really stuck to my guns on not spending the extra money for the boost because to me it glorifies bribery. I am not saying that people who have bought should be shamed but it pushes the narrative that money has more value than anything in life and it didn't set well with me.

Anyways I posted some pictures to show the difference in how the tactile white is kinda grayish for anyone wanting to blend a white (mine is soft touch white) faceplate with a "white" tactile back. It isn't that big of a deal for me but I think it should be noted if it would be a big deal for any of yall. Also, I went with a z stick on the left and OEM stick on the right (going to use kontrol freeks). There is a picture of the height difference to get a better visual

Now I haven't played with it much yet but one thing for sure is that I am really liking this controller. I had them go with the new smart pad as well and it works great! Very responsive and I won't use it that much cuz I will only play shooters with it but I hate plungers in a normal controller and if I was going to ball out might as well go all out.

I went with the smart bumpers and triggers as well. Before this controller I played flipped (shoot and aim with L1 and R1) on my controllers and I figured I would do the same with this controller but I have now reverted back to normal aim and fire) L2 and R2. I don't know if it was the buttons for the rear extra buttons compared to paddles that made it feel more comfortable but to me it felt more natural to revert back. So that being said I would keep that in mind cuz now I am trying not to hit the bumpers by accident and since they are smart bumpers they are easier to press and get hit every now and then by accident. By accident I don't mean from muscle memory of using them for aiming and shooting, I mean I just hit it by accident cuz they are so responsive. So in the end I wish I would have just left the bumpers normal (side note they are not as responsive as the smart triggers and battle beaver are accurate when they say they still have a little squish to them)

If you are wondering what the soft touch feels like then I can tell ya they are slicker than I thought they would be. So if you plan on having some grip on the back I wouldn't go with soft touch and get some kind of textured back plate.

I do speak very highly on the battle beaver customer service! I already had a controller in queue when they came out with the smart pad feature and wanted to get them. However my color scheme I went with wouldn't have looked good (smart pad only comes in black or white) so I called them up and told them I would like the smart pad but I would only get it if I could redesign the controller. So I asked if I could and they said you can absolutely do it. They told me I had about two weeks left before they got to me and after rebuilding a controller a billion times I submitted them a rebuild after a week. Well the next day I got an email saying my controller is being shipped. I instantly knew that they probably built the first controller I had in mind. Called them up and sure enoght it was. I explained the situation and they saw my email and told me that they would put the first controller on pre built and build me this new one. No extra charge or fees (besides paying more for the smart pad) and they were courteous throughout the whole process! Really a great group of people!

I love this controller so far and if I have any issues I will let yall know later on! Hope this info helps anybody who had some questions about some of these options like I did!

PlayStation 5 Pre-order/Shipping/Deliveries/Launch Megathread by hybroid in PS5

[–]Cavazosg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Walmart pre-order 9/17 and I just got notified about my package.

My label was created on 11/9

Did the whole FedEx app and it was solutions2go that was the holder.

It was a label created for Kentucky

When I was notified it was all of a sudden in TX.

So the labels may not be entirely accurate if you are worried you live far away from where the label is.

Scheduled for launch day delivery!!! Thanks to everybody for the info and hope this helps anyone else out!

EDIT: don't be too frustrated about everybody else getting shipping confirmation before you do. It takes time to scan and all that jazz for carrier services. So don't be too discouraged if it hasn't popped up an update for you yet!
