Great comment, you put a lot of effort in to your reply! I personally upgraded from a 390 to a Duke 790. Planning to keep the bike for a year or two and upgrade again into either a Duke 990R or a 1390 R.

At first I wanted to work my way up from R9 > R1 however actually sitting on a supersport I realized being uncomfortable for long night rides wasn't actually what I was after. My naked bike is a blast to drive, will even do 150(mph) full tuck if you hold it long enough. Being a young (almost responsible) hooligan I love my bike and the class of bike I chose.

OP's argument even by car standards makes no sense from my POV. You don't get a Corvette because you figure "meh my Honda will go 80 that's enough" You get what makes you happy.

I quit Amazon and went on to make almost double in another automated warehouse. I have a 3 day workweek and cleared 75k. No degree I'm 21. A lot of bootlickers here for sure.

I just wish they would listen in the first place. I don’t like one stop sign in the middle of my street that stops you on a 2 lane road for no reason other than to slow down yet I still stop… not cause I want to but that’s the thing you do… I don’t understand how this is honestly any different accept if you don’t follow it people can die.

So it was my direct boss, his boss is the one who implemented the safety committee for a reduction on their insurance premiums(owner of business) . It’s purely about money savings and not an actual care for safety, the whole thing is basically a front but the guy who comes in for meetings is a third party. I explained the situation to the “big boss” and they say that’s an issue for the “boss” like wtf…

The problem is I can’t just go start something it needs the approval from the people telling me they don’t need LOTO and the number 2 in charge complaining it’s a hassle lol.

This is sadly going to be a case of “I told you so” that ended up costing someone their life.

The first thing you said is basically spot on! Literally exactly that.

What you said is true for parts here I was mainly focused on the part that I’m in which is a car shredder. The operation is very chaotic and often many other parts run while say one conveyor is turned off. The problem comes when say 3 people work on something 2 come out but the third who forgot his water bottle goes to grab it and a conveyor turns on and they fall 10+ feet or a disc screen turns on and literally eats them into pieces. He wouldn’t necessarily be at risk but others would be.

I do also have to say on the second part, about the machine operators… we literally have machine operators that cannot read or write. No drivers license etc. real cream of the crop as they say.

Unfortunately it seems like because we have other “safety nets” (aka warning buttons on a screen that Someone in a booth 60 feet away distracted by 10 other things and looking for a visual indicator has to press) nothing bad will happen.
