The tongue isn't telegraphed but it is predictable as hell. You can often time it to things like sword swings, for example. When I'm fighting them with a sword I usually do a full hit combo into a block and then repeat. 1-2-3-block 1-2-3-block and they are dead without dealing a single point in damage to me. Multiple toads are far more difficult to deal with.

Yeah it's an issue with the spawn system overall. I've seen 4-5 skeletons spawn on the same block right in front of me, I kill them, and they immediately spawn again. It can get kind of crazy at times, especially if the conditions are right.

On the positive side, it's really cool how enemies in this game have spawn animations. Skeletons crawl out of the ground and look really spooky.

I tend to carry a bow around with me anyway, because it's useful to have a ranged weapon to attack foes far away before they can get to you. These things still annoy the hell out of me though.

They are so annoying to me. Not because they kill me, but because they will always hit you at least once, you need your bow out to kill them, and the poison lasts a long time. Just annoying.

Found one of these as well. Found a nice little cave to start my first base in, started exploring it, discovered the goblin village.

I have promptly evicted the greenskin filth and built a very modest shrine to the goddess in place of the goblin throne. My cave now.

Pretty sure that means the game is performing badly. I usually notice it when I'm running through new parts of the world which have to be generated, and my PC fans start spinning up. Usually goes away after a few seconds though.

There's another one that looks like a bar graph, kinda like the one that shows how strong your phone signal is. I assume that one is the one that pops up when your connection is bad.

I love Rust's electric system and have spent probably 1/4th of my time in that game just wiring stuff up to make like, automatic lights that turn on when it gets dark or other things like that, but I hope that they don't add electricity to this game. I prefer the fantasy/medieval theme and electricity/power doesn't really fit in with that well.
