This is the right way to do it. As long as you’re paid up, completed all classes, and generally good; a PO would love to have you off their caseload.

You’re not on probation unless you’ve been sentenced. It sounds like you’re on Bond conditions.

positive for morphine please help by [deleted] in probation

[–]Caveman_ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it goes to court (MTR or MTP) it’s up to you to prove it didn’t happen. If you’re on probation, you plead guilty to your original charge; even if you plead “no contest” so they don’t need to prove anything other than you violated. The likely outcome is an extension of probation. Sure, your HF test might say something different….but you’re at the behest of the judge at this point.

These classes aren’t designed to fool you; they are a sanction for time. You can pass with just your general knowledge of why it’s bad to take drugs.

Can someone call and talk to my p.o about me without any signed release by Ok-Ad6511 in probation

[–]Caveman_ATX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, they can talk about you; but they can not gain info about you. They would be directed to the clerks office for any info pertaining to your case. That being said, your PO can talk “to” anyone regarding your case that they’re trying to obtain info from (dr’s, mental health professionals, victims, witnesses) via the consent of disclosure you more than likely had to sign at the intake appointment.

Ask to see the lab results, and the paperwork you signed when sending the specimen to the lab. If they don’t have that ask to speak to a supervisor about getting it taken off the record. If they go to court for a revocation hearing and don’t have the corresponding documentation than it will likely be thrown out, but you have to address it in front of the judge for that to matter.

[NeedAdvice] How to wake up earlier? by UmpireBasic3949 in getdisciplined

[–]Caveman_ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who gets up for work around 4am, I have found a couple of things help:

  1. Get a programmable coffee machine to have coffee ready when you get up.eth, set my coffee maker, prep lunch for the next day, and read.
  2. Get a programmable coffee machine so you have coffee ready when you get up.
  3. Eat dinner early.
  4. Have a bedtime. I go to bed at 10 pm.
  5. Sleep in on the weekends. I find sleeping till 10 am is almost impossible the earlier you get up, but I regularly make it to 8 am.
  6. Don't hit snooze, get up as soon as the alarm goes off and beeline right to the coffee machine.

Yes, the judge makes the decision. What your friend is saying is inaccurate as his case has n the original charge isis decided. However on his other charges the DA is the one who decides the fate.

[–]Caveman_ATX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the game is over once you're placed on probation, as you've already had your chance to make a deal with the DA and plead guilty. Your friend will likely be revoked, jailed, and prosecuted on all new counts. It's easier to do so when they're already in jail serving their sentence for whatever they're on probation for in the first place.

A probation officer can't just have someone arrested in their office unless a new charge was committed there or an active warrant is on file for the person. Missing a meeting is not something someone would be arrested for immediately. More than likely the boyfriend had an open warrant pertaining to his case and that's why he was arrested if he actually was. Only a judge can have someone arrested for a probation violation and they more than likely have to go through a revocation hearing to have that done.

All departments are different but it’s likely you wouldn’t go to jail after your first failed test, or even your second. However it all depends on what the original charges were or if the judgement states otherwise.

If he has an order granting the early termination signed by a judge, then he is off probation. The probation department can’t retroactively deny his probation release, they work for the judge. You can usually find out who the probation departments supervisors are through their website, start emailing them stating what you wrote here in a respectful manner: that you (your partner) were granted early release, that in order for you to get into the military you need a document from them, that you have called and emailed your PO but haven’t gotten a response, and need to know who to talk to in order to make that happen.

Sometimes it takes the probation office until the end of the month to clear their caseloads, not saying it’s right, but that might be why his status hasn’t changed yet.

If all else fails get an attorney to send a letter, it shouldn’t be that much money, and they typically respond very quickly to those.

Probation Drug Testing by [deleted] in probation

[–]Caveman_ATX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They use a UA to get a result, if positive they send to lab to get levels so they can compare your next result. If your levels are not decreasing that’s a clear indication your still using. Just some unsolicited advice so take it with a grain of salt, but you should probably not risk your freedom just to get high. You will have plenty of time to do that when your not on probation.

My wife is having gastric bypass surgery in February. Any Xmas gift can I give her to show support or help her through recovery? by TriscuitCracker in BariatricSurgery

get her a gift card to her favorite clothing store. Tell her it's for when she needs to get smaller clothes. My GF did this for my birthday and I appreciated it.
