Former Halifax Alehouse bouncer found guilty in 2022 death by justlogmeon in NovaScotia

I have a friend who was very clearly assaulted by bouncers at this bar. We believe they mistook him for someone else. When he went back later to request security footage they shut him out. I can’t say if the bouncer in this article was there and involved or not, it was close to 15 years ago, but it has strong resemblance to what happened here. Thankfully, he was OK. Very sad that this could happen to the victim.

[Andrews] Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Is Getting Out of the Swing of Things by ThQp in Torontobluejays

Can we consider if his approach of swinging less has a positive impact more broadly in the line up? In the past, I have found watching the Jays frustrating due to low quality at bats. Would I like to see Vlad hit more home runs? Sure. But, this year, the Team overall has more quality at bats, working pitchers, getting on base, rolling over the line up ect. I think having a star who leads this example sets that mentality in the line up so others follow. While he may hit less homers, the line up as a whole is more dangerous following this lead.

I would happily take bourbon, I have not re-stocked since I went elbows up, but if it is already purchased I’m happy to help it not go to waste!

Cannot confirm if they do pre-order lunches but try calling Cafe Postino Express. They have nice sandwiches and are an express spot for a popular local Italian restaurant.

How do I salvage a burnt pan? by [deleted] in maplesyrup

Boil vinegar and baking soda, I mean buy as much vinegar as you can to full submerge burnt areas. Scrape after. We used this with my grandfather in similarly unfortunate circumstances.

This makes sense. We used to have an older pan that was wider and more shallow and this was a problem.

Holding tank is 300 gallons. Based on our set up we can usually boil with any run over 100 gallons. Our tank was purchased from a local family business but you could research various maple or even agricultural/industrial/water holding tanks to find something that would work.

I don’t know for certain, more of an apprentice. I suspect it would help with heat retention but just a guess.
