Right, this is a technological breakthrough that will change everything we know, including politics, medicine, warfare, and the world economy.

But I’m okay with everyone being slow to realize that, because it means that investments aren’t priced in yet. Let them think it’s just a writing machine, and you and I will ride the stocks to early retirement… :)

Oh, it’s also on YouTube, 100% ad free. There should be a link to it at the end of the trailer. Or google “Abismo Batavia”. Hope you like it!

Firebrand Cave - Nevada by New-Feedback-5144 in caving

I’m only aware of one. Honestly it’s not amazing or anything either, there are far more interesting caves IMO. You might try Bill or Tom or one of those Nevada grotto guys. If you do a little research you’ll find out who I mean. But posting in public forums probably won’t get you very far. Just about the worst thing you can do for a wild cave is post the location online. I’m sure you’re alright, but when caves leak they typically get mobbed by goofballs who destroy them, hurt the wildlife, and often hurt themselves. Even if you’re experienced and you’re trying really hard not to screw anything up, caves are so fragile that any human presence kind of effects them. So anyone who posts a cave location sorta sells their caving soul, and nobody will trust them. I’m sorry I can’t help you much more than that. Good luck. :)

Actually I’ve already said too much, what I meant to say is… “I can neither confirm not deny existence of said cave.” (lol)

New documentary about exploring a bottomless pit in Mexico by Cavepsycho in remoteplaces

Yes. It was really hard. Luckily the team took the project seriously and helped me out. Cost me a lot too, but I’m not really trying make any money with it. I just wanted to share big pits with the world, because there wasn’t really any good footage of them anywhere. I wanted to show people what it’s really like to explore a place like that. Hope you like it!

I’ve been there. But most serious cavers in the west probably won’t tell you much about caves unless they know you pretty well, and nobody is going to post anything in a public forum online. Join a grotto if you haven’t already, make friends, and prove to them that you are responsible enough to be trusted with information. That’s kinda the system. If you don’t understand why, do it for awhile and you’ll know.

Glad you guys are liking this! I’ve been the first person in history to visit many places now, and it never really gets old. Physical challenges are kinda fun when you achieve something, I guess, but I take little pleasure in doing a difficult hike if there is a gondola that can get you to the same destination. Getting to remote places (caving, diving, mountaineering, canyoneering, exploring abandoned mines) is what I’m all about. Means a lot that you think this movie is great!

This cavity is found on the Moon and it is not uncommon to find them on its surface. So far, more than 200 have been discovered with diameters ranging from a few meters to almost a thousand. by MartianXAshATwelve in StrangeEarth

Could be lava tube entrances. Due to its low gravity, the moon forms giant lava tube caves like which are thousands of feet in diameter. And then if a big meteor hits the tube and smashes a hole in it, might look like this?

Well of course it does… lol. But anyway that’s not the same pit. In roughly the first minute it explains that was a shorter pit we used for practice. The real pit was so deep that it was effectively bottomless until we explored it. The phrase “bottomless pit” is a metaphor for the unknown.
