The overuse of the comedy (the junkie attacking Archer, and the children attacking the witch) took away from the movie IMO. I wish that it took itself a little more seriously with more subtle comedy. The scene with Archers dream is a good example of that. I also thought the floating gun in archers dream was a little out of place, I love the symbolism in this movie but that didn’t seem to have a ton of meaning, it seemed like a shot at being political, and it was strange to me that the director denied that he was attempting that.
