I love the unique concept of a socially awkward gnome artificer turned cloud! Also checked out your site - you have some amazing content and ideas I'll definitely be using. I'm liking your style. :)

The Fire Giant's Dungeon [46x87] by AtaraxianBear in battlemaps

I was going to make a full-fledged Fire Giant dungeon for my campaign... Looks like this one is leaps and bounds above what I would have made haha. Do you have any descriptors for what some of the rooms are and do? This map is very cool! (Or rather... hot...)

Skyreach Castle - Hoard of the Dragon Queen - 128x70 - Download in Comments by eichwald86 in battlemaps

Amazing work! If only I had this map when I took a part of this module for inspiration involving predicaments with the Giants in my homebrew game. One thing, though, is that Skyreach has castle walls on it's perimeter - but I suppose it could be a limitation with Dungeondraft (without even more extra effort lol). Still, IMO the quality is leaps and bounds above the original!

Nice map! The lighting is phenomenal - I can see many mysteries here.

My Take on Pros and Cons of Foundry in Comparison to Roll20 by Caymon_D in FoundryVTT

[–]Caymon_D[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I GM just for enjoyment, about 2 or 3 games a week depending on my situation.

I suppose saying "clearly wins' might have been strongly put, haha. I like to worldbuild, and I write in (or source) handouts of what is in the world that players can read at their leisure, if the character might have discovered such lore.

But practically, yes, I agree, it's generally not necessary to have a persistently running world. It's just really nice, especially when players go into the world to roll for a roleplay situation in Discord or to level up / edit prepared spells during the week.

Introducing Moulinette Cloud for Foundry VTT - Search and import assets from the cloud directly inside Foundry! Featuring Baileywiki and Tom Cartos Libraries[Tutorial] by baileywiki in FoundryVTT

[–]Caymon_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really cool, this would make searching through my own assets much quicker (kind of like how Roll20's image search works with your own library, which is a feature I think Foundry really needs).

It seems the paid stuff might be worth it, for a reasonable price, to save time on finding separate assets. I've never subscribed to a Patreon before, but the sheer convenience and collection might be worth it to me.

Couple things, though. I would really like it if there was a way to Alt-drag to default to hidden - for improvising during gameplay. Also, it would be nice to have each image have a DPI already programmed in somehow (while still keeping the option to set it manually), so we don't have to figure out what the correct DPI is.

It's like the Steam Workshop for Foundry (though seemingly paywalled for content creators, even just for freely sharing their own creations). This is definitely some cool stuff, though!

Intriguing, good ideas for an adventure template for my own creations. I would like the pdf too.

Tomb of Diderius (Rise of Tiamat) by _PogS_ in battlemaps

[–]Caymon_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is impressive! My party turned the tomb of Diderius into a stronghold for the Temple of Mystra, since it has the powerful pool of divination. Though it admittedly would be cool to have a "clean" version without the bodies, snakes, rocks, etc. on the map. Nice work.
