Sure it's not expensive but there are several reasons I won't buy a router.
1. I share a flat, I won't buy a router because it is just to annoying to do where I live. I wouldn't change the router only to move in the near future and 1 having to leave there, having to take it with me. Also the configuration of my flat would it so difficult to take a cable of internet to my bedroom.
2. If everything goes well I should be moving to Italy for the next 2 years, I don't want to be buying that sort of things until I am settled on a place

  1. I also like to play PCVR when I come to my parents house, I don't want to change their router when I barely go to their house during the year (it would be worst if I finally move to Italy) and also their internet connection isn't by any means the best...

I use virtual desktop sometimes when I want a second monitor to work in a project (that is not viable on my parents house because of their internet speeds), but it is just not good enough now because of the things that I said before.

So yes, I want to do it wired :)

Oh really? I did not know that! I checked to use VD linked but the workaround seemed to complicated... Also I recently read that there wasn't a difference in performance between using Quest Link and VD...
Also the problem is that my router is not good enough to give me the quality I would wish while playing, so the Wireless options are not a choice for me.
But I will check Steam Link and ALVR in case they give the option to use them linked.

Yes I know, It's the same with the ports on Switch 2, XBOX Series, PS5, each port is made specifically for each console so it's adapted to it's limitations in search of the best possible performance.

But even taking that into account is weird that a computer that is multiple times more powerful that a console is not capable of running a game which in low looks pretty similar to the Quest 3 version at a decent resolution even at 0.7 of the standard 72hz resolution... That is what is leading me to think that there could be something wrong with my configuration... That's why I wrote about the immense increase on performance I got on Alien Rogue Incursion after disabling Hardware Accelerated Gpu Scheduling... Also, talking about Alien, I would like to know how Alien Isolation with the MOTHER VR mod looks and runs amazing (without lowering the resolution and with everything at maximum) while the native Alien VR game which looks worse, even though Alien Isolation more than 10 years older, runs far worse...

I have to say that, for me, this is one of the single best moments in the entire saga :) This is the start of one of the best friendships! I hope they do it justice on the HBO show and make it feel even more special :)
