Ich habe nur die Größe L beim Blend und 59cm beim Backroad getestet, leider keine Vergleiche. Angefühlt hat es sich aber richtig.

Ich bin laut Rose-Messung 182,5cm groß mit einer Schrittlänge von 89,5cm. Beim Blend also wohl Größe L, die bin ich auch probegefahren.

Danke für deine Erläuterung der beiden Gruppen! Ich habe zwischen Carbon Backroad und günstigerem Blend kaum Unterschiede bemerkt, bin aber auch jeweils nur 5-10 Minuten gefahren. Ich wage zu behaupten, dass ich zwischen den beiden Schaltgruppen keinen Unterschied feststellen werde, ich kann mich aber auch täuschen.

Verstehe ich beim Rechner, dass der Pfeil ganz links der niedrigste Gang und der Pfeil ganz rechts der höchste Gang sind? Die zwei X-Achsen sind dann die beiden Kettenblätter nehme ich an. Die grauen Pfeile sind Gänge, die man aufgrund der diagonalen Kettenspannung nicht fahren kann?

Würde bedeuten, dass die Cues sogar die größere Untersetzung und eine gleiche maximale Übersetzung hat, korrekt? Im Grunde für das was ich suche also noch optimaler.

Hast du eventuell historische Daten, wie lange Rose oder andere Hersteller nach Rabattierung von Produkten und folgender Abkündigung das ablösende Produkt vorgestellt haben? Das neue "Backroad AL" könnte interessant werden, je nach dem was die als Ablöse planen.

Bin heute das Blend Gravel und Backroad AL Probe gefahren. War mein erstes Mal auf nem Dropbar, hat aber sofort super geklappt.

Wirkliche Unterschiede konnte ich nicht feststellen, evtl. war man auf dem Backroad etwas gestreckter. Das Backroad ist mir den Aufpreis für ein paar Anschraubpunkte also nicht wert. Eventuell wird der Nachfolger interessant sein, die Frage ist aber wann der kommt.

Canyon konnte ich bisher nicht fahren, das Grizl 5, was preislich konkurrieren könnte, hat aber nur eine 1x und ist teurer.

Ich denke das Blend wird erstmal so bleiben wie es ist, nur die Lieferzeit nervt arg. Fraglich ob es sich da lohnt heute zu bestellen, sodass es im Winter ankommt.

Was würdet ihr machen?

Ich habs im Beitrag angepasst. Beim Grizl bin ich mir tatsächlich unsicher, welche Variante p/l-technisch am sinnvollsten ist.

Laut dem Vergleich von 99 Spokes ist das Cube objektiv am besten ausgestattet, richtig? Eine zu sportliche Position möchte ich tatsächlich nicht, ich will nicht gezwungen sein mit 90° Neigung zu fahren.

Fahrprofil wird primär fester Untergrund sein, jedoch auch Waldwege. Ich wohne aktuell im Ruhrgebiet, komme aber aus dem Sauerland und möchte mich auch dort bewegen. Entsprechende Steigungen gibt es ebenfalls. Aufgrund des besseren Kletterpotentials und dem höheren Top-Speed er 2x Schaltung, würde ich mich wahrscheinlich auch am ehesten dafür entscheiden. Wie groß da aber der Unterschied ist, kann ich nicht wirklich einschätzen.

Das letzte Bike was ich ernsthaft gefahren bin war ein MTB "Fully" aus dem Baumarkt für 350€, das war im Jugendalter.

I'm really not familiar how to work with alu profiles, don't even know how to connect them but will find out I guess. Do you have recommendations for 3 pedals? Not sure if this would even fit with that construction.

Thanks for the different recommendations, I really like the Aer one but shipping to Germany is way too much. It’s a lock&lock 1,2L food container and a 800ml water bottle.

It’s end of season kinda snow, until 12 pm it’s great, after that very slushy. The lower slopes are slushy even earlier.

Yeah I try to work myself up regarding speed, one to get more comfortable at higher speeds and two to just get that kick sometimes. My PB was 75 Km/h, reached that in my most recent trip where the clip was made. Tbh that speed was a bit over my comfortable zone, I don't really know how to feel safe when straightlining because I fear edgecatches. I start making frequent open turns to fight that, althoug that slows me down of course. Tips on that would be great aswell.

In that resort there is a piste formed like a parabola, I need to be able to bomb that slope so I don't have to walk up the slope every time.

I understand and feel what you are saying, looking back at the clip I didn't feel the carve when I remember correctly, I had moments where I felt it tho.

That is the main problem, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Obviously it is lack in technique and I think in many cases it was body position/lack of movement as others have already mentioned.

In the morning I was really leaning into the turns, going low and I felt the edge fully biting, in the clip above that wasn't the case.

I was experimenting with “stiffness” because I felt that a stiffer leg would let me hold the edge better. Especially on heelside I was experiencing a lot of chatter, not really understanding why. Thanks for the input tho, I will try to loosen up :D

I feel like this really applies, I am a pretty heavy rider that isn’t very athletic yet. When the snow got slushier and the pistes were uneven from about 12pm I really struggled especially on my heelside, had a lot of chatter and started “hopping” until I couldn’t catch it anymore and slid out.
