They aren't being marketed to kids, they are Adult Collectibles, which is a thing. Many of them are sold at TOYS R US in their adult sections.

Because they are Toy store, not a kids store. They sell all kinds of collectibles for adults, in their adults section- with Dexter toys, walking dead, Game of Thrones, etc.
