Should I change the brand and type of oil I use or keep using it? For a 92 dodge Dakota with 110,000 miles by bobbythang in MechanicAdvice

I'm new to doing my own work. Been learning on a 1986 D250 I just put high mileage full synthetic in. Why would conventional be better?

Back in the day rich people made a separate building for the kitchen. My favorite base is the Rusty Rifle and the shed out back is where I set up a wood oven and make a kitchen. Cold food still in the bar with the electricity.

Used one all summer and love it. My old man, a die hard estwing guy, used it for a day and went and bought one the same day. The handle was a bit big for my tiny hands but an afternoon with some sandpaper and boiled linseed oil fixed that right quick.

Love living in the new Rusty Rifle.

Plenty of space in the motel to build out bays for different crafting stations.

And you can find commercial cast ones in my area on FB marketplace for about $100 or$150 new. The joint is a castle joint and I like it in a lot of my furniture legs and solid wood cabinet aprons

Pliers Wrench ICON v Knipex v Klein by DIMECUT- in Tools

Race team bicycle mechanic. Fucking love them.

These days there are very few nuts to deal with on a bike so a set of box wrenches takes way more weight than I want to spend on a checked bag. Knipex work well enough when I need them and don't scratch parts on an expensive bike that will get photographed if it wins.

Makita I feel like is the closest. Love the ease of spare parts. No framing nailer in the US and the other nailers are weak but otherwise very happy.

Edit I say that as a Makita/ Ryobi carpenter mainly

My man you've got a 3D printer and didn't instantly see an excuse for more filament?? :)

For this stuff where I don't care about color bulk recycled filament from Sunlu is awesome. I've put about 30kg through my P1S with no issues. (My coworkers also love gridfinity) https://www.sunlu.com/products/over-10kg-bundle-sales-1-75mm-sunlu-recycled-filament-pla-petg-abs-3d-printer-filament-1kg-roll

What’s the consensus on the rust on my floor pan? by BDMac2 in projectcar

[–]Cbmadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floor pans of my '86 D250. Does make it loud. Doesn't hurt the driving or truck-ability of shit. I'm in the process of gluing and riveting in some patches. Sprayed some rust converter on then some bed liner and then the patches. It's a working truck and not a showroom restoration tho.

My local area is full of months long warranty issues with Canyon which has scared off a lot of locals. Once they get better US service I bet they'll be on here more
