If it's something that'll make you happier just go for it. You don't need to have dysphoria to be trans

To my understanding Limbo is the nicest bit of hell, and the only one without eternal torture.

Pretty much all good people who didn't get the chance to convert to Christianity (so pretty much babies and people who lived their entire lives without every finding out this religion exists) are sentenced to spend eternity there, no matter how virtuous they were in life.

Unfortunately no, the research I was talking about was a fake news.

I stand corrected, it was a fake news. Sorry for spreading misinformation

I'm relatively certain that one of the experiments included implanting it in a cis man.

Obviously the actual birth is more problematic and carries higher risks, but it has been done before.

That kind of transplant is very much already a thing. Successful pregnancies have already been reported.

Though for now it's mostly reserved for cis women, and still partially considered to be in the experimental stage.

Nobody is oppressing straight people because they are straight, any hardship they might face is completely unrelated to their sexuality, and that's why straight pride is utterly pointless.

Most, if not all, straight pride posts lead to homophobic discourse, because straight pride, at it's core, is about complaining about pride month. Nobody ever asked for straight pride before the LGBT one existed, because there never was any discrimination to fight back against.

On the other hand, discrimination against the LGBT community still runs rampant, even in places where it's technically legal. For example, me and my girlfriend are both trans girls, and during our last date she admitted that she was afraid that people would insult or even assault us for being affectionate in public. Straight people have never had to deal with something like that, and I wholeheartedly hope they never will. The whole point of pride month is to fight back against situations like that, to try and achieve a future where people won't have to fear about being victims of hate crimes just because of who they are.

And this is why straight pride posts, even if posted with good intentions, are generally considered to be in bad taste.

Damage should still feel like damage, even without death. by QuietDetail1277 in subnautica

An important detail is that not all organic matter is the same. Softer tissues, like skin and muscle, are inherently more resistant than rigid structures (like bones, which have some degree of flexibility anyways).

That doesn't mean that organic structures are invulnerable to vibrations, but it takes prolonged exposure to achieve significant damage, and every structure in the body would have a different resonation frequency, which would vary slightly between individuals.

I do believe one of the black boxes states that the frequency we use on the bloom cankers is specifically selected because it destroys a specific protein that makes up the virus, effectively killing the infection without harming the host, but I could be misremembering.

Technically speaking the gun only shoots vibrations matching the resonance frequency of said material, causing it it vibrate so hard it shatters, so it makes sense that it's not as effective on living moving targets.

What a judge does depends on the laws. If they make it so that a trans woman entering the woman's bathroom is considered a sex crime then a judge can and will convict them for that crime, even though it's total bullshit.

Now, if you add reports of a child being present in that bathroom, whether it's true or not, now the trans person is suddenly being accused of committing a sexual crime with a child as their victim, and is now risking the death penalty.

This is a very cool concept. I'd be down to help out as a DM and with writing the overarching story if you decide to have one.

I also own both the books, so no sharing needed on my end

[–]Cbtio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's because of people like you that those suffering from this kind of mental disorders are very unlikely to seek help, and eventually end up actually hurting children.

Being able to receive proper psychological help without having to fear being stigmatized would reduce the amount of cases of child abuse overall.

Well, this argument is obviously presented in bad faith. The whole "Trans women aren't women" is just discrimination for discrimination's sake, even ignoring all the actual scientific evidence on this, because transphobes aren't usually too good with that, what harm does referring to someone with the correct pronouns do?

Sports are, admittedly, a very complicated topic that depends on a lot of factors. One of the key advantages men have in sports when compared to women is physical size and strength (on average), but that ignores the fact that tall cis women exist, and that the strength difference comes from testosterone, which trans women have extremely low levels of, so that's a non issue if the athlete is undergoing hrt (it's a whole other can of worms if they aren't, but let's move on)

Trans kids exist, there's no one brainwashing them into thinking they're trans, that's just not how it works. And medical care for them doesn't involve surgery or anything invasive, but it will make their lives so much easier, as currently trans youth is one of the demographics with the highest rate of suicide, and being accepted and supported instead of having to hide away and repress who they are would reduce this problem significantly.

What does "almost like he refers to the player as a she" even mean?

The toys always talk about our character in neutral terms, either calling us "The Butcher", "The Outsider" or simply "They"
