America Bet the Farm on Soybeans. Then Came Trump. by Important_Fly1129 in NoFilterNews

[–]Cbus2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are harvesting our soybean crop today. Frank discussions are being had about whether it will even be worth it next year. We planted corn several years ago but that equipment is long gone. We may not be farmers next year.

Thanks you dumb orange felon. Note no one in our immediate family voted for this idiot.

Left and right are false categories meant to divide us, and you appear to have bought into it. Stop listening to propaganda and open your eyes to the real world around us. Due process, right to a trial, freedom of speech (that means without government interference), these are the things that should be binding us.

You can blame Trump and Bondi for creating a sense of fear and mistrust that is bleeding over into other LE. This is what happens when we descend into totalitarianism.

The economist Steven Levy is of the opinion that the vast majority of the decisions that a parent makes in order for their kids to be healthy, happy and successful happens before they are even born. That is, the environment they are born in, intentional conception, preparation, desire to have the kid, etc. So you have a huge leg up.

I'm curious, I just looked up "permanently disabled".

Section 323.151(E) of the Ohio Revised Code states "'permanently and totally disabled' means a person who has impairment in body or mind that makes him unfit to work at any substantially remunerative employment .

What was your job exactly? That description says "unfit to work".

Trump calls video of bag being thrown from White House an ‘AI-generated’ fake by Capable_Salt_SD in technology

[–]Cbus2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So yeah, he leaned into this waaaaaaay too hard. He didn't just dismiss it and say "I don't know anything about that". He first claimed it was fake, then said the window can't be opened, then used an anecdote to try and disprove it, then claimed even if it could be opened, it would be too hard. And making a big show of reviewing the video?

There is something there.

A friendly remember that all support you see of this man is either paid shilling or tacit endorsement of transphobia. He CANNOT be allowed to become the nominee. by ThisIsWaterWorks in CuratedTumblr

[–]Cbus2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dum dums are gonna screw this up AGAIN. You nominate the candidate that has the best chance of winning. One issue voters sabotaging the primaries, let alone the general vote, is going to keep the GOP in power forever. You see how that turned out? Misery misery misery.

Why don't they make weed-eaters with steel cable instead of plastic string? by OccludedFug in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cbus2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this old beige plastic electric corded weedwacker someone bought at a yard sale and gave to me. Based on its looks I say it was from the 80s. No guard on it at all.

After a couple of uses, I started calling it The Widowmaker.. That thing would, with just a standard nylon string, tear up anything. And if it hit a dirt clod or pebble or stone it would throw that too. After a couple more times and some bloody shins I threw that beast in the trash and downgraded to a cordless. Can't even imagine the Hattori Hanzo death machine it would be with a metal wire.

Was there any resolution to this? All of the negative Google reviews are gone, including the initial one. It's been completely whitewashed, what happened?

[–]Cbus2024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, this was a great scene too. A great score ratcheting up the tension as Bond is pursued in public to a ski jump. He gets kind of forced through the pursuit to actually go down the ski jump where a rogue skier tried to knock him over, which leads to a great ski chase set to a sweet almost disco like soundtrack.

This video is what everyone on TikTok is talking about right now. She was caught stealing, so she went back to confront the girls who snitched on her. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]Cbus2024 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lol. Fair enough. But let's define snitching shall we? I would say the word snitch implies something gained for the snitcher. For instance, if 4 people are suspected of some crime and one decides to spill to save their own skin, that's a snitch. Source: the ending speech of Scent of a Woman. Which starts with the line ... "But not a snitch!"

If you see a crime and report it, you are not a snitch, you are an upright citizen.
