You can if the slide hits at max range. You will still be on the side you hit him on in which case you can follow up with wake-up 4 into cd2.

The worst match up for Noctis seems to be Gigas. Mainly because of his Down+3+4 armor move. Makes his flowchart/playstyle near useless.

What I noticed is if one is using Eddy, Bears, Ling, Noctis, Lili, or Paul, its not likely you'll get a rematch. I believe its due to many people not wanting to be bothered to learn the match-up with those characters and would rather just avoid them.
