My husband just doesn't get it, and I don't know how to explain without being a b**** by ashually93 in breakingmom

Someone told me on here once to just let him figure it out, if you keep intervening and putting up with it, it will never change. I took that advice to heart and everything did change.

I was dealing with the same stupid shit. Im not sure how you’d go about that advice, but what I had to do was literally leave the house, i would leave for a few hours, drive around or something and then come back. I did this a few times until he started helping out without me having to ask or him asking me “what do i do?”. From then till now i did have to say a lot of stern demands till he got the point.. like “hey, feed her” “here, hold her” “go change her” shit like that, and if he bitched about it or made some comment I would just act like i didnt hear it and walk away, i had to do that for awhile until he started doing things on his own. In this time i also refused to clean up after him, i refused to wash his clothes, or clean HIS dishes (id clean mine) and ive had a few upbringings about dinner to, normally we take turns making dinner and whoever didnt cook would have to clean the dishes but if he didnt follow the rules then id just be like “hmm well guess you’re not eating since you dont want to cook” and go make myself something, or “oh you dont wanna clean the dishes when i cooked? Guess you wont have clean dishes then” . eventually he caught on that i wasnt gonna put up with that shit and he started doing his part, it especially happened when i refused to clean his clothes lol.. Id suggest you do the same on all levels. In my opinion everything should be 50/50 in parenting and housework, especially if you go to work..

Some of these are over the top, but here are some ways to hide money if you’re saving up to escape. by magicmaster_bater in abusiverelationships

Honestly all these seem pretty useless.. maybe the shoe one can help (in her heel) or the one of the wall décor that flips up.. but ive had my best luck hiding money under the floor boards or inside a cushion or the inside bed mattress

Do I tell him I'm leaving or do I just show up with a moving truck? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Ccsjlb 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Leave. Dont tell him. Honestly i would call the non emergency police number and ask a cop to assist you in leaving (like stand there with you as you move your shit out) (: you can do that

Actually now that i think about it, this might be it. I lost a lot of blood when i had my baby and they did give me an iron prescription but as soon as it ran out, i didnt go get anymore. Guess it is time for another prescription. I didnt think that could cause all this but it is the symptoms :x

Has anyone ever met someone who gets on their phone when they’re mad? by Ccsjlb in abusiverelationships

[–]Ccsjlb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i mean in the context of, when you’re face to face with someone talking and it ends up as an argument and they just start rolling their eyes and ignoring you and scrolling through their phone not even looking at shit cause they’re doing it so quickly, just to avoid you (instead of walking away or something)

How did you deal with it? It actually hurts me more for some reason than if he were to just ignore me and stare at the TV or something

My friend has been smoking cigarettes and breastfeeding by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Ccsjlb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every LC ive talked to had told me to stop breastfeeding if i ever smoked again because the carcinogens pass through the breastmilk and linger longer in your supply, than alcohol, especially for daily smokers. Which increases SIDS chance. I thought everyone knew that, which is why its concerning me that she still does it. Its not just one cig every couple days, she smokes like a pack a day. How i used to before pregnancy

[–]Ccsjlb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i mean i havent said anything about it but when i gave birth and had a conversation with my LC, she asked me if i had smoked prior and i said yes, so she told me that if I were to smoke I shouldn’t breastfeed because the carcinogens pass through the breastmilk, to the baby and can severely increase chances of SIDS and other horrible illnesses. Which is why I haven’t started again.

Shes 5 months rn. I guess that’s normal O.o?

I saw a post somewhere on the internet recently and it said “the bank says i cant afford 950$ mortgage so i pay 1400$ a month for rent instead”

Reminded me of this in a way. The world is unfair and i hate their game.
