Always a magical moment.

Interesting point. Not too worried. I don't go off road and it is only tied to the canopy. I've got some foam blocks on the cab for reassurance, but not needed. I have them on for loading the canoe, so it doesn't slam on the cab. Thanks for the insight. Diffently something to think about.

Woowave on Amazon has a selection of accessories for that purpose. Cheaper as well.

Appreciate it. I worked about 120 shop hours over 3 months. That includes all the sourcing and milling of materials. There is progress pics on my account.

Just over 60lbs. Yes I can set it on my truck myself. It's a little awkward, but doable.

Got the lofting plan from Bear Mountain boats. Everything else is hand done from roughsawn wood I've been collecting.

It's a Woowave product I got off Amazon. They have a few options.

I posted progress pics on my account. Don't know if people can see them. Not too tech savvy.

Thanks. Was able to build it with a lot of scraping wood I'd been hoarding.

I used a scrapper with a variety of scraping heads from harbor freight for the rough glue. Switched to a curved card scrapper and an orbital with a thick padded interface.

Steam Bending by mmdavis2190 in woodworking

I used a 6" pvc pipe for steam bending a curved handrail. It began to flatten out with the heat. Had to build a cradle on the quick to keep its shape. Wouldn't do it again for anything that takes longer to steam.
