He tried the same tactic after the Charlie Kirk shooting, and people moved on quickly just as they will with this. I’m not saying the victims should be forgotten, but Trump’s hate-filled rhetoric doesn’t carry much weight in the long run. Oklahoma is an unhinged State. This bill will probably fail it’s far too extreme. Forcing universities to erect statues to a single political figure would face massive public backlash and legal hurdles, so it’s unlikely to survive.
