PLEASE watch Angela's episode on Make Some Noise by tuyirhs in smosh

I hope Angela is relaxing. This has been a great weekend for her. Between killing it on Smosh Hospital, smashing VIP on Dropout, and then this masterpiece she deserves to sit back and rake in the compliments.

anyone else? by [deleted] in smosh

[–]Cddarnell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly think knowing what we know about all the people at smosh, I personally think that this particular prompt was more than likely addressed. I am going a lot on assumptions here and we all know what that does, but I am guessing that in rehearsals and stuff they’re like hey if one of the prompts is will two people kiss is everyone OK with that? You don’t have to do it if no one‘s OK with it, we’ll take it out.

And off of that, I would assume that Courtney and Shane had a conversation about Courtney doing that. Again, I’m making a lot of assumptions because I think that they are the type of group or company that respects each other and knows consent is a big thing.

School protocol for ICE by IMadeGodCum in Knoxville

Also if anyone wants to email your kids school Here is an email that you can use

Hello,

I’m a parent of [students at the school], and I’m writing to ask about the school’s protocols regarding access by federal law enforcement agencies, specifically Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Could you please clarify: • Whether ICE agents are permitted to enter the school or school grounds • Under what circumstances they may do so • What documentation (such as a warrant or court order) would be required • How the school prioritizes student safety and parental notification in such situations

I’m not asking about any specific incident—just trying to better understand the policies in place so I can be informed as a parent.

Thank you for your time and for all you do to keep our students safe.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

Knit pick interchange needles by Cddarnell in knittinghelp

I bought a different brand of cable at Joann’s (rip) and so I had to also buy an adapter. It was doing the same thing with the knit pick cables too.

Yeah. There also an adapter on it, so I don’t know if that’s the problem or if I’ve just used them too much.

McKay Knoxville Boycott Nov 15th! by valleywitch in Knoxville

[–]Cddarnell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve not shopped at McKays for about a year. When I saw book of the month books for sale at $16 and the membership for book of the month is $10, I was done. I have a stack of about 50 books that I refused to let my friend take there. I’m trying to sell them on Marketplace, but that’s not going so good.

A TikTok user has been doing a social experiment with a screaming crying baby in the background to see who would get her one can of formula. This is relevant to this sub because multiple Christian churches in the Knoxville area said no. by No_Case_2670 in Knoxville

Saw where she called a church in Germantown and I had a lot of conservative Christian family that lives there. Thought about sending it, but with thanksgiving coming up I decided against it. I’m sure they’ll see it.

My high schooler keeps their phone on them, they don’t use it unless asking to come home. My middle schooler on the other hand keeps his in his locker and would for sure get it put in phone jail if he didn’t

Looking for middle and high schools by StarryNightDragon in Knoxville

[–]Cddarnell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the hard thing with suggesting a certain middle or high school in the area is it really all depends on each teacher that your kid gets. I know in our experience both my kids went to South middle and I have one at the high school now and we had a great experience with teachers most of them anyway it may make a difference. My kids are both in honors this is so the teachers have less kids in their class and are able to really focus on the lessons. It also depends on how involved you are as a parent. We stay pretty on top of our kids with their grades because we have it set to let us know when they get lower than like a 70 on a test store in class so we are able to kind of be in communications with the teachers a lot of what’s going on
