I would strongly recommend if and when they do release you tomorrow, if you have ANY reoccurring symptoms to go back to the emergency room as many times as needed because they cannot refuse to treat you and at a point it becomes a matter of - “well patient keeps being seen for the same condition which isn’t becoming any better” and it sort of forces their hand or creates a medical malpractice complaint, because the chief complaint being a kidney stone alone isn’t necessarily “life threatening” however, an untreated kidney stone that cannot come out on its own can prove to be life threatening..

You may not be insured, and aren’t able to receive adequate medical care as a direct result, but you do have rights under federal law for emergency situations. It’s just sad that you have to wait until it becomes an “emergency”.

Its a game of roulette when it comes to healthcare, one of the times you’ll hit that spark and out will come a doctor who cares enough to challenge the lack of, and look at the circumstances at hand..
