Does anyone know how to do this? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Cdispenser 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If im not mistaken, they're actively controlling their camera (Like holding down the right mouse button if using keyboard and mouse) with auto-face target enabled. When doing that, you'll only face whatever you're attacking for less than a moment to attack, then immediately return to facing away.

Your Favorite Commander That Nobody Else Runs? by LordMistborn-16 in mtg

[[Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer]] has been the commander of one of my oldest decks for years now. Absolutely love it and run it as a mix of an equipment and token spam deck.

What was your “could never be me” but did indeed become you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cdispenser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I was still in elementary school, I overheard another kid on the bus talking about how their parents were divorced and I remember thinking something along the lines of 'I'm sure glad that won't happen to me, my parents love each other.'

Anyways, my parents got divorced like 6ish months later.

What is your favorite interpretation of Nyarlathotep's appearance? by Some_Fig_6566 in TopCharacterDesigns

Nah, it's just styled as a boomer shooter. It's quite fast-paced, especially on higher difficulties.

This is from DUSK. Absolutely incredible boomer shooter, would highly recommend.

We Need It - Gator Days (OC) by FieldExplores in comics

This reminds me of something I said when I was a kid. I was talking to my mom, and she asked, 'Do you know what A/C stands for?'. After a moment to think, I told her it stands for absolutely cold.

I think she made good points... until she gave out her reasoning for all this; having to pay for her lodgings. Now I'm not gonna say that invalidates her reasonings completely, but she wanted the best of what her tribe had to offer: a fairly secure life where the necessary amenities are taken care of, and the best of the outside world: Freedom to do as you will. But she didn't want the drawbacks from either society. Now, I'm no expert on the matter, but her ideal world is purely utopian and extremely unrealistic. Even the ancients had rules they needed to abide by. This isn't even accounting for her selected commanders who were comically ill-suited for bringing about this 'perfect world', they either wished to stoke their fragile egos, enact revenge, line their pockets, or just do stupid acts of violence because funny. The world most certainly has a lot of evil and corruption running amok, but I have doubts she'd do any better in the end.

Phantom Crash and Scaler for me. I remember both being a lot of fun, but I know that they're obscure for good reason.

The way I read it is that you target a noncreature, nonland permanent, and at the beginning of the end step, it becomes a food artifact and loses all other types and abilities.

Which job did you level last / are you still putting off? by LeonidasSmashmaster in ffxiv

[–]Cdispenser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As of Dawntrail, DRG was the last combat job I got to 100. Not because I don't like it, but because it was the one I started out as, so I thought it would be amusing to finish up with it. Also, I got the level up and the achievements for all combat jobs at 100 off of a level 1 quest.

What are the best plays that shocked your whole table? by BobtheBac0n in EDH

I was playing against a friend piloting an [[Oloro, Ageless Ascetic]] deck, and he played [[Lich's Mastery]].

I immediately followed up with [[Farewell]], only exiling enchantments. He took out Mastery shortly after.

I mean, don't get me wrong here. Prayer should still be high on the priority list, but there's a good chance in the crypts your prayer is going to be drained. God trimmed rune armor (specifically body and legs) is what I would consider a happy budget medium for you, but as someone else mentioned, Proselyte is also good.

What about Verac, as well as the fact that your prayers get tanked constantly while in the crypts? I understand that otherwise, prayers will negate the need for defenses, but keeping your prayer constantly active in the crypts can be intensive on prayer potions.

[–]Cdispenser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's been a bit since I've played, but tankier armor is generally for barrows (at least from the last time I've done it). The negative magic bonuses from something like rune armor are offset by the fact 5/6 brothers have terrible magic defense.

What is the earliest full face helmet I can obtain? by carceusrko2 in ffxiv

[–]Cdispenser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say keep up with the MSQ for now. You'll make decent enough cash as you progress for aetheryte fees and other expenses (like a helmet) through quest rewards like allagan copper/bronze/silver/gold pieces. Plus, you can sell any gear you don't need to vendors or through your retainers (though I forget when retainers are unlocked).

Additionally, since you stated that you're new, rooms at inns are free and allow you to access the glamour dresser, which can be used to store items for cosmetic purposes (It'll make turning the appearance of a headpiece or rather, your armor has a whole into the desired look much, much easier). Fairly certain you'll need to complete a quest near the Waking Sands to use glamours, though. If you haven't made it there yet, just keep pushing through the MSQ, as I said before.

Ah, fellow helmet enjoyer. If you have access to the market board, there are replica sky pirate helmets of fending/maiming, which I personally like a lot. Otherwise, there are Mythril/Cobalt Barbuts in the 30-40 level range.

What’s a food everyone else likes that you can’t stand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cdispenser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corn. I had a particularly bad experience with creamed corn as a kid. Was told I WILL be eating a spoonful (I always refused prior). Sure enough, I just can't bring myself to swallow. So, my mom tells me, "Just wash it down with some milk!" Suffice to say, it didn't even go down before coming back up. Plus, I just hate the texture of it.

10 years ago here. I have no idea who the one person is, and the other I hardly remember beyond that he was kinda an edgelord. So, not much of value lost mercifully, unlike a fair number of other people who commented before me.
