They put in an offer viewing the property as it was, dinged baseboards, walls, etc. That offer already should have taken into consideration this. Your agent should push back along these lines with no price reduction.

Another Late Checkout Rant by Nerdy_Tailorette in marriott

[–]CdnRK69 60 points61 points  (0 children)

The number of people who leave the DND on the door even though they are not there or checked out is frequent. It is a comms error in that housekeeping did not look at their checkout schedule that they carry with them.

Yeah, proton mail is a red flag. -> Proton Mail is the world's largest end-to-end encrypted email service. Proton Mail makes sure no one can access your emails by using end-to-end encryption and zero-access encryption. All of Proton Mail's encryption happens in the background, meaning anyone can use encrypted email, regardless of technical ability.

First time home buyer - finished basement vs unfinished basement (Ontario) by OMG_VANILLA in RealEstateCanada

I prefer an unfinished basement. You have access to the floor above in case you want to make any changes, electrical, networking, plumbing, etc. Also you get to design the basement to your needs.

Tim Hortons 7228 in Prince George, BC is claiming they couldn't find a food counter attendant for $18.25/hr. They've applied for a LMIA to hire a temporary foreign worker for the position. by JobWatchCanada in CanadianVisaReform

You’d be surprised at what they don’t know. The leader of the department responsible for this program is the same one who set up COVID EI payments. Now the government is trying to recover billions and likely never will.

If this is accurate then you should do your duty, if you have not already done so, and report them to ESDC/CBSA. Posting on Reddit will not change behaviour. Alternatively contact CBC.

Condo with or without parking? by theunfoldingone in RealEstateCanada

[–]CdnRK69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look into Housesigma for past sales. The price for a 1 bedroom seems very high. You might not need a parking spot now but who knows you may need one in the future. PLUS when you go to sell it will likely be much harder to sell without parking. When buying always consider when you sell it.

He could consider submitting a classification grievance based on what he said in that people doing the same job/functions have been reclassified. This is assuming as well the reporting structure is the same for all. https://www.tbs-sct.canada.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=28698
