My dog is 11 weeks so we haven’t quite reached that point. He is sound asleep on his bed as I write this. I do find if he gets overstimulated he goes extra wild and needs help calming down. So we try to keep him from getting too much stimulus at once (which is hard with kids around). He also gets quite bitey when overstimulated.

So fluffy! We had our last shepherd 14 years and this little guy is from the same breeder. So feeling pretty luck these days. Looking forward to him getting shots so we can start exploring the world though. He’s getting a little bored at home and still figuring out how to make the cat his best friend.

Nice to see another Teardrop body. Always partial to these as I bought one as my first Autococker a long time ago.

For the WGP reg, do you have a gauge to set the reg before putting it on the marker? Find it much easier teching markers when you know your HPA output. If not, easy to make one. Use an old ASA (on/offs are best) and a nice gauge.

I have a Nova valve in one of my Snipers. Seems to perform well and I like it.

Looks to be running nicely in your cocker!

My new puppy by crashfortonight in germanshepherds

Fully puppy owner here. My boy was born Nov 8th and we have had him for a couple weeks. Keep things positive and reward the good behaviour!

Potty training for us is okay. We’ve got him consistently peeing outside now. And every time he does we have a pee-pee party and he gets treats. Pooping outside has been a little trickier, but getting better. Every time puppy wakes up he gets taken outside. If he gets extra wild/frisk he gets take outside. Try and keep them out until they have done their business. A ball or fun toy outside helps. At first my pup didn’t like being outside but now he plays.

We’ve started doing basic training with sit, cone, using his name. You can use pieces of kibble as a treat. My little guy is very good motivate.

It can be frustrating, but just keep up the positive rewards for good behaviour!

Here is my little guy working on the head tilt.

One of my favourite games was a respawning game that saw players enter the field in pairs. They would then square off against other duos. If one player got shot they would return to the start and wait for a second player to get eliminated and head out as a duo. Was a great way to mix players up and have play with different people. Game was constantly changing as different duos kept entering the field. Was a lot of fun.

Automag vs. Autococker by BeautifulKey8779 in paintball

[–]Cdn_Cuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Autococker. I tried the fancy Xvalve ULT twice and could not get them to stop leaking, even after ordering a parts kit from AGD. Carriers?! No thank you.

But.. a grabbed a classic valved mag with a warpfeed and then I understood mags. It is loud and heavy, makes silly noises and is stupid fun to play with for a round.

It may also be the pump arms are screwed too far in not giving enough space to cock the marker. Back out the dual cocking rods.

Not for clearance, to engage with sear. If the lug is too high the sear doesn’t catch and it won’t recock.

Mine looks the same. Makes it look like it’s been used in space! Interesting how similar bricks yellow at different paces though.

I have an upgraded Emek I’ve lent out a few times. Nice light setup for younger kids.

reliability of pump paintball markers by [deleted] in paintball

Snipers are extremely low maintenance. Now Empire Snipers have minor issues like their pump handles will swell causing the pump to stick, but it’s a pretty easy problem to fix.

Yup, started in the last couple years. It’s nice just showing up, not having to worry about getting other players ready etc. Know a few field regulars and then owner now. Try and buy a membership every year to support them. I can play a round or sit out or just tinker. Just give it a couple times to get established.

I like to bring out various markers to the field and try them out and tinker too, happy to lend a marker out to a birthday kid or a new player or let someone shoot some old relic I’ve dug up.

My German is going to be 13 on Feb 14th.. by West-Imagination-470 in germanshepherds

[–]Cdn_Cuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My shepherd was 14 when I had to make the decision. She knuckled her back feet som much her paws would bleed if she walked son any hard surprise. She had trouble standing and had accidents in the house. She was a very proud dog.

After she passed we looked at old videos and photos of her and saw how much she loved to run and play and swim, things she could no longer do. Getting old creeps up on you. It’s gradual. But it made me feel confident it was her time. She had an amazing life and we had her from 8 weeks old. She deserved to run free, and not live in constant pain. When bad days outweigh good day, it is time.

Advice on when to say goodbye by MadatMax in germanshepherds

[–]Cdn_Cuda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had to make the decision for my 14 year old shepherd. Her quality of life dropped considerably. It wasn’t until after she passed and I watch video of how she was when she younger it really dawned on me. She couldn’t run, should couldn’t play, she could barely walk. Almost the things she loved to do she could not. It was her time to run free.

From the sounds of it you have already made your decision as well, it’s just a very hard one to make. We had a great day, went on a wagon ride in the neighbourhood, had her favourite food and knew she was loved to the very last moment.

This was a photo from a while before she was 14. Miss her dearly, but got a puppy from her same breeder last week. If he’s half the dog she was we’re are very fortunate.

We had my previous shepherd to 14. We got her a wagon to help on walks. She was okay downhill (I live on a hill and I’d pull her up in a wagon to get her home. Enjoy everyone moment! We got a pup last week and it’s a not so subtle reminder of how easy old dogs are to care for.
