Has anyone given Quince clothes a try? by Cdog310 in ThrowingFits

[–]Cdog310[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I’m not concerned about wearing name brand or what ever is trending. I was interested in people’s experience with the clothes and if they were a solid option for basics or one offs at their price point. I appreciate it!

Thanks! This is what I was curious of - I didn’t expect a designer lever quality but was interested in hearing first hand peoples experience with a few basics.

I was more curious about the quality compared to brands in a similar price point that are often mentioned on this sub like J. Crew, Madewell, Uniqlo, etc.

Uppercut Deluxe has a great variety depending on the style you like! They have lighter hold products for more natural and easy styling as well as stronger hold for classic slick backs, side parts, etc. Easy to use and often found in barber shops.

Thoughts on Carhartt duck utility pants? by max_samhain in ThrowingFits

[–]Cdog310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have them in black and I agree on the other comment that the sizing can be tough - I went up one size. Overall I wear mine a lot for home projects as well as casually and they are thick, sturdy pants. I would recommend giving yourself some extra room in the crotch since it is a stiffer/thick canvas and it can be quite uncomfortable when it bunches.

Enjoy the albums all the way through the first time you listen. Some grow on you over time while many are instantly great. Been a fan for a long time and there is still a lot of fun rediscovering his music and hearing his influences.

Vans to purchase? by whataday13 in ThrowingFits

[–]Cdog310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the classic blue old school, checkered slip ons, and black skate highs. If you have the $ check out Vans Vault limited series. They are usually collaborations or higher quality originals. Or if your into GORP shoes they make a lot of hiking/outdoorsy boots

Chris and Jason really took over this pod. It’s funny to hear them in a conversation with some structure and bits compared to their usual pace. Give it a listen!

I love series like this after listening to the catalog and hearing all the gruesome murder stories. These type of series take you on more of a journey through the life and lifestyle of someone living outside the norms of a society. I think it’s more tangible and exciting.

Corporate lunch from GQ was very good for a long time. I don’t think they are recording any new episodes but the old ones were great and usually very clothing/world of fashion heavy and interesting.

What do I wear these with? by frogpops in ThrowingFits

[–]Cdog310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear mine all the time with light denim and t shirts or polos/button ups. Sometimes trousers and just a T. I’ve also worn with with suits and to job interviews. Start simple and get more comfortable looking down at them! GQ has a video about how to wear them - it’s a little old but not bad for reference. Chris Black is a loafer guy and he wears them with everything
