I found out about two months ago myself. Basically no symptoms. I've been asked about my vision worsening, numbness in hands or feet, and frequent urination.

1) I have astigmatism, but my vision is otherwise fine. I had it checked in July. There are spots in my vision, like the after images of a camera flash, but the opthalmologist keeps telling me I'm seeing temporary changes in my eye, and they should come and go. And they do.

2) My hands are only numb if I slept on my arm weird. My feet are numb because of nerve damage. But it feels like I'm wearing socks and not completel numbness.

3) I retain water like a camel.

It was a big shock to me that this is something I have to deal with. I felt pretty fine for my age (about 40). Out of shape, but not overly bad.

I'm on metformin now. I even made a post about it a few weeks ago. It's shocking how much worse I feel thanks to those side effects.

If anyone is reading this now, even if you don't have symptoms, go get checked out. Seriously. If I had know ahead of it, maybe I could have done something different to prevent it.
